This is how shop builds should be done. Actual questions that watchers would be asking getting answered. Too many times the details and info are gate kept because its "secret squirrel stuff". Thanks to the camera man and the team, the information that you're getting out there is clearing up a lot of lost or misinformation. Even my wife now knows what parts are on my car and how much effort they take to do.

@@WowCreativeUsername I totally agree. I've been married for more years than I can remember and my wife let's me do just about anything I want, even when I shouldn't. I'm 98% open and honest with her and because of that she trusts me implicitly, just like me her. Even when I try to hide things from her, I feel guilty and eventually tell her. I just stopped doing things I know she wouldn't like as a trade off. It doesn't bother me much, I can still do anything I want, I just don't see it being worth it to damage our relationship over something stupid or that I know she wouldn't like.

Coming together faster than thenothers ive seen the shop build. Inknow there are many variables to why this build is coming together faster. All i can say is that the Cleteus team made the right decision on having CJRC build his next ride. Do it Right the first time, instead of doing it over again and again. Racers who went with CJRC have their cars in the Winner's Circle, in some class at some track almost every weekend. If you have the luxury to afford it and want it done to perfection. Give Cameron Johnson Race Cars a call.

Oh god, don't tell them that. From the video, it looks like it took a team almost a week just to clearance the non-important holes on that plate. As someone that actually does this kind of stuff, it was painful to watch. (I had to jump ahead twice just to attempt to get back to progress). Also, is there really just one guy in the shop that knows you can't snatch a ratchet?

As a teenager I often Helped my dad put engines and gearboxes into our cars. Mind you tilting the engine enought o do that was always fun. very very little room in a Peugeot 504 to do the engine and gearbox install. Have to say however once it was in clutch changes were simple. 4 bolts on the diff and the entire gearbox could be moved enough to get at the clutch and change it. Good memories. BTW my dads 504 had 247hp at rear wheels and was turbocharged. zero turbo lag. Powerful enough to twist drive shafts.

What they are building is basically a Pro 275 car. Now I get the impression he's not going going to actually run Pro 275, he's running whatever whack classes they have down there around Bradenton but this type of car is ideal for that. I can't say exactly what he's running but like everyone is saying, regardless of what the class is called it's a Pro 275 car.

The amount of work and detail to building a racecar is is huge. The hand work and fitting alone is where the boys get separated from the men and this video really shows that as well as the time and effort it takes just on one piece. These men are craftsman and a good representation of what America should be all about! Happy 4th of July!

ProLine has been at it a long time and builds great stuff. I have a C5R block and heads from the motor they built for Bobby Lashley's NA catfish Camaro that ran a best of 8.29 @ 163 in 2010. Ran the entire season without any failures, or so the story goes. Did some great wheelies too.

Danny would probably like the 1/2 inch SK ratchet that I bought at Habitat Restore for $3. I researched and discovered that it was made during the war years. It's cadmium plated, not chromed. There aren't any dents in the knurling. This wrench caught my eye for two reasons. I've never seen a non chromed ratchet. Most all ratchets are smoothly rounded in all directions on the working end. This one is roughed into shape... fairly smooth, but it needed a few more finish passes to make it look smooth enough for chroming. I saw 4 on eBay for $125. 😱 I think it was $3 well spent. Escuse me for rambling. I was thinking this was about me, not the engine. 😁 That is beautiful.
