Nice, I have 2 MP40s, 1 Nero 5, Sicce SDC 3.0 returning through UV, Syncra 3.0 return and a COR 20 return at 30% since I only have a single 1” drain. I have a peninsula 6ft tank but I feel the flow is acceptable, I had a Gyre previously vertically mounted which flowed a lot more then the nero but cleaning Gyres Im Not sure is for me

Replace CUC as needed and alage issues already happened and have cleared up

Is just the same as the Reefwave gyres? It looks that way, just rebranded I like my gyre pumps but it’s the same story - clean with acid and it blasts everything for a week or two and then slows down to a fraction of that and I have to increase the %

Hey CJ do you know if the AI gyres are the same ones as the Red sea ones just rebranded? They look very similar in design.

They used maxspect license combined with their software to drive the pump. Functions the same but ran by AI software

Trying my luck since it’s impossible to find the information, Can you let me know what is the voltage of these pumps (after power supply) and if they support battery backup like icecap v3 ? Thanks :)

I also purchased the orbit 4. The one thing that I have noticed is, unlike the Nero pumps when in pulse mode it actually stops. The Nero pumps will only slow down to 1%.

Most likely not maxspect make all the gyre pumps lol. Redsea, Ai, maxspect makes them all. They created them and hold the patent. The only reason to go for others over maxspect is controllability, apps etc.

I’d believe so my glass is 1/2” thick and it holds no issue

75g 3x2x2 size tank.. I’d suggest going with orbit 4 gives you room to grow if you get a bigger tank

I run the big Maxspect ones but I hate the controller with a passion! I might get these simply for the app 😂 But then again I’m trying to not spend as much on my reef.

One of my Mp40 does the rocking wave 350ms pulses. The rest of pumps are random flow settings. Depending on tank size orbit may not be able to be tuned for the wave you have to play with it

You would likely have good return flow if you placed the AI on the other side of the tank.
