Great real world review and summary. For what they are asking for this setup I personally would prefer something along the lines of the Hollyland Lark M2 both for design and tonal characteristics. Thanks for sharing.

Hey, I have an idea! Lets make a wireless microphone system that transmits on the same frequency range as over a billion WiFi devices and every microwave oven ever made. That oughta work great! Sounds like it's trapped inside a Crown Royal bag. Much more balanced with the Mackie mic, but needs more gain.

They are really solid So many newer cameras dont really need mic’s for personal vlogs

Moving the transmitter down a few inched to the top center your breast bone is always a better position for mics on your chest. Too high, and you get a muddy sound mostly caused by your chin shadow. Right below the bottom button of the polo would do great.

Wonder what the range is. Because with a lav that is usually what will cost you. Off course a good lav will also cost you. But if this works with a DPA lav (my favourite 😅)or another good lav over a distance of let's say 50 meters, this could replace a Sennheiser G4 set which is pretty pricy. And save you on the wireless transmission part.

I forget about range with these things because I have a hard time getting any of them to cut out and most go about 100 yard easy
