CL has a star quality that is truly rare to come by. I was transfixed by her. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that she (along with the other 2ne1 members once i fell for them too) is the reason I got into kpop in the first place all the way back in 2010 All these 2nd gen queens making triumphant returns make me really hope 2ne1 get to do something for their 15th anniversary next year I'd love you to check out some 2ne1 stuff! It's so delightfully of its time 😂 I don't even know what songs to suggest, they're all so iconic

CL has always been way too ahead of her time no matter what track she drops... That last song was her using the korean version of Red Light Green Light for the hook which is so dope. Not long after CL dropped the song, that phrase became so famous worldwide from Squid Game.

CL debuted as a soloist in 2013 with The Baddest Female and later released “Lifted” a full english track which made her the first female kpop soloist to enter Billboard Hot100 and first kpop artist to guest on The Late Late Show with James Corden in 2016, she later guested on the show again with +HWA+ in 2020. As well as the first kpop soloist to perform at The Kelly Clarkson Show. She’s also the first female kpop soloist alongside Rosé to attend the MET gala. After 6 years, CL finally got a Dr. Pepper endorsement last year. I don't drink soda in general, much less caffinated soda, but Dr. Pepper was my choice the times I did. It does seem to get a lot of hate. The song has divided opinions. Some really hate it. Normally it's a song I'd hate as well, but I don't; when it comes on, I get happy. As someone else said, she wrote it while waiting for Diplo to show up. I don't like the rapper features on it, I don't think they add anything and the lyrics are pretty stupid even for a nonsense song. I highly recommend watching the MTBD live performance. She really feels the music and goes off. It stands for Mental Breakdown. Another is CL and 2NE1 MAMA 2015. She sings Hello Bitches and then 2NE1 did a surprise appearance after being on hiatus right before they disbanded. All the MVs for the songs sampled here are recommended too. Dirty Vibe is kinda wild. 5 Stars is beautifully shot.
