Claas is making some serious moves in the North American market. If I were John deere, Case/New Holland, heck Fendt and Massey ferguson, I'd be concerned. Claas is constantly getting better and better. The other brands better step up their A game. Good on Claas for continuing to improve their products. 👍👍

FENDT is not concerned at all, as they are the only manufacturer of a rigid frame tractor with more than 650 horsepower. The FENDT 1167 Vario MT produces 673HP, while the Claas Xerion 12.650 only produces 653 horsepower, a 20 horsepower difference.

@@nikerailfanningttm9046 So what does horsepower mean? Look at the traction of the Fendt, the unequal wheigth distribution, and how it struggles when it's wet and slicky.... by the way the Xerion 12.650 comes with the same torque of 3.100 Nm as the 1167 Fendt...

​@@Eric_V410If 650 hp are sufficient to generate the required torque, why should you be on the road with more hp? In terms of displacement and performance, fuel consumption is also an important factor these days.

@@PhasenReise The current biggest tractors are sufficient in the plains(though many still want more out of each tractor and implement). However add some slight hills in and you have to downsize implements to have the power to pull them. And with concerns to fuel economy a well designed engine that is bigger and more powerful(obviously therefore capable of more) should be within a few percent of a smaller less powerful one on the basis of fuel per area covered.

The Xerion 12.650 was starting from scratch in 2017 as new Konzept and not as upgraded 5000 Xerion. It looks like a modern 5000 version.

It is a Mix between metric and imperial. In Amerika the 650 can go up to 500l oil with 3 pumps in Germany only 2 pumps are available with 250 l the track version I would prefer before I go on duals

Imperial is the only reason brands like Case IH, New Holland and John Deere still exist. Euro tractors are just better all round, with some very small exceptions in regards to outliers like the Big Bud. There aren't any Euro equivalents for that nonsense that I know off.
