Maybe one day you could do a trip to Denver by riding the 102, then catch United, and the ride the A line to Union Station

That’s the plan. I might go to Denver during the summer.

Great video. However, idk about the bus rapid transit line from Downtown to IAH. Wished Houston had a light-rail rapid transit instead.

@@HOUExplorer hello. I’m planning to go from IAH to Downtown carrying 2 large pieces of luggage (45lb each). Is that ok to take this bus or would you recommend another service (that is not renting a car)?

Since going to airport I assume ok to bring 1 large rolling bag and store there at open space at front of bus when I walk in?
@HOUExplorer
@HOUExplorer 3 жыл бұрын
That's a good question. Unfortunately the bus does not have large storage spaces. However, the front seats can be flipped to adjust large spaces. I recommend calling METRO if the bus operator allows you to bring a large rolling bag. Here is there phone number: 713-635-4000

Thank you for sharing Does this bus goes to all terminals if not how to get to international terminal D
@HOUExplorer
@HOUExplorer 3 жыл бұрын
No problem. This bus only stops at Terminal C. However, at Terminal C, there is an underground train than can take you to Terminal D.

$4.50 for a one way bus fare expensive.
@HOUExplorer
@HOUExplorer 3 жыл бұрын
It used to be $15.00 one way, but they’ve brought down to $4.50. In my opinion, I think it is cheap compare to NYC MTA. I know a commuter bus from Manhattan to the suburbs is almost $10.
@rodhoutx
@rodhoutx 3 жыл бұрын
@@HOUExplorer The Metro schedule says it's $1.25. Did they lower it to regular fare? Or do you somehow pay more to go all the way to the airport?
@HOUExplorer
@HOUExplorer 3 жыл бұрын
@@rodhoutx Yes. It is a $1.25 for the full ride. You can download the Q Mobile Ticketing App (www.ridemetro.org/Pages/MobileTicketing.aspx) or pay $1.25. Discount only applies if you register with METRO on their Online Fare Store.

So the busses start getting ads on them. Things are getting more expensive these days. And houston called them "ugly" and it clutters your vision. But its worth to have them as they make money from them. Whats next? A jumbotrons? Lol things are getting more exciting and more modern.

I believe some transit agencies around the country are starting to allow corporate naming rights to advertise the rail/bus lines. For example, in Denver Colorado, the A-Line is also known as the "University of Colorado Line" because the University of Colorado (UC) bought that name. The A-Line goes nowhere near UC. Here's an article that LA Metro might consider doing: www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-metro-corporate-naming-policy-20161227-story.html
