They are all good options. Pom is my fav plate material in general. But my point is, if you are using plate foam, and you are planning on buying two plates, go with one soft material (pom, PC, fr4) and one Alu. Just so they actually sound different. The softer materials all sound very similar with plate foam. So this is just a suggestion. Hope that answers your question my friend 🙏.

I see a lot of online people complaining about qk65 lacking in sound character, but I think it's because a lot of the sound test use all the foams and silicone layer. Haha. No doubt bro. And thank you, this was a very tedious task, but it's for my people, so I went with it. Hope it helped you homie. 🤜

just got the polycarbonate one, hope I won't get disappointed lol Edit: after watching the video, I think I made the right choice
@Clackbait2 жыл бұрын
If you use plate foam, POM, PC and even FR4 all sound very similar. You will be good. PC is a good choice.

Is there any difference between pom and fr4 in terms of feel? They sound not that different but rather fr4 is aesthetically better.
@Clackbait2 жыл бұрын
Pom is softer than fr4. Slightly more bounce, but not a massive difference unless you run without plate foam

Since the rubber feet cover the screwholes, did you leave them off?

No they were on

Have u tried force break mod on it? If so then how did it change the board in terms of sound
@Clackbait2 жыл бұрын
No I did not. It really didn't need it tbh. I'm sure it will help, because it just does, but still, not necessary. Unless you go without any foam.

Can you help me bro, among all the plates, which do you think is best comboed with my epsilon switches to compliment its sound? Thanks in advance
@Clackbait2 жыл бұрын
I have Epsilons in my frog video in an fr4 half plate. Sounds incredible. But I think if you are using plate foam, go with POM. It will sound great! If you want it higher pitch, go Alu. The Alu spacebar sounds great!
@kennethfajardo36042 жыл бұрын
I am just planning to use PE foam only and not plate foam? What do you think will be the plate to go?
@IronCan882 жыл бұрын
@@kennethfajardo3604 you chose epsilon for the deep sound, so go with PC or pom would give you the deepest thock possible. But if you want more detailed sound signature you can do fr4 or aluminum.
@MightyRaph2 жыл бұрын
Hey Clackbait, would like to check will the FR4 plate be somewhat the same flexiness vs the POM plate due to the flex cut?

It's stiffer for sure.

@@Clackbait if you would recommend a single plate which will you recommend? if i want deep cream marbly?
@Clackbait2 жыл бұрын
PC or POM. Pom is my fav and has a bit of pop. PC will give you a slightly deeper sound imo.
@MightyRaph2 жыл бұрын
@@Clackbait POM is your fav for this keeb right? i think i might be going with POM
@MightyRaph2 жыл бұрын
It was a battle with POM and FR4 lol. currently POM has the edge. If i planning to put all the foam without the PE foam. POM is the best right? if with the PE foam everything sounds the same?
@Sofeh2 жыл бұрын
FR4 and aluminum sound so similar, which one do you feel has a higher pitch sound? Edit: actually, listening to them with foam, the alu seems higher?
@Clackbait2 жыл бұрын
You got it right homie. Alu is higher. Generally the softer the deeper, the harder the higher pitch. Love POM and Alu on this board.

always has to go with either pom or fr4 for that marble signature. I can make the same test on kbd67 lite. though not the same premium sound but close enough.

In your opinion, qk65 and zoom65 which one is better? and why?
@Clackbait2 жыл бұрын
If you want a knob and more bounce, go Zoom65. If you are looking for sound and a soft typing experience, go QK65. Both are solid options. Overall, I like the QK a tad bit better.

It dampens the sound a bit, so depending on your switches and plate, more thocky
