Clacton Pier Vlog August 2021

We always had a day on the pier when we used to go to Butlins at Clacton. Glad it's keeping up it's tradition of fast slides. They used to have a fantastic bumpy slide on Clacton Pier that was so fast you would always go to the end of the landing stage. It was brilliant-we used to pick up our mats and then go straight up and go again to see who could land the furthest on the landing stage going down!! Absolutely love this, obviously it has changed a lot since the early eighties, but nice to see it's still thriving and full of rides where there is something to suit everyone. I actually found your channel when looking for old Butlins footage, now I watch most of your theme park/funfair blogs. Really enjoying them, brilliant channel.

Another amazing vlog, really enjoyed and always do look forward to the next vlog. Really good fireworks display, had a lot of big bangs in there and was really cool display to watch especially through screen. Got a good selection of rides here, could maybe do with bit more selection of coasters? Alongside upside down coaster? Maybe a spinning mouse coaster? Keep log flume as would like to get that water ride credit when & if visit in future? Would be interested in seeing more permanent additions here aswell maybe bigger main coaster built into indoor section or another level added on the pier building? With maybe a rollercoaster inside or more attractions? Or if not all current attractions moved up a few levels? Creating future indoor ride space for more additions in future. But good vlog, shame you couldn't at the time get Pavilion rides, but it is what it is. Really enjoyed vlog, didn't think they needed two Ferris wheels, could of compromised and maybe gone with one & charged a price that suits both to make a profit. But again its happened. Cheers again & yep will get out there & will keep on riding. 😀👍

I have been going to Clacton every year since I was born and absolutely love it but since lockdown the pier has had a major glow up and pretty much all the rides on the pier are new apart from the helter skelter which is so mad their was never a Miami or a log flume or rollercoaster or anything.

Hi a quick update on the new coaster at Flamingoland after some delay went yesterday and a lot of work now going on to the bases around the supports Concreting to finish off the bases and the whole area under the ride being finished off plus a large crane in action near the station area Nice to to see progress at last!

I went to Clacton as a kid in the 60's when my parents took the family to stay at Butlins. I remember a great side friction coaster that used to be on the pier called the 'Steel Stella'. As well as an original Wild Mouse at the Butlins camp which was the first coaster I ever went on!

Great to see you went to Clacton I thought you would when u found out about it.shame the coaster still isn't up. They did say by sept to me so hopefully. Although when I went in June it was exactly the same then as it is now. Looks like nothing has been done. I'm starting to think they have some technical issues that they can't work out. They said originally it would be open for spring then summer then no word on it.

So I went to Alton Towers for my first Rollercoaster. You recommended 13 when you replied to me but the queue was long and I got dragged onto Oblivion. I then did Nemesis and Wickerman and Thirteen absolutely amazing Rides. Finished with a Front Row Smiler and the Next day well today got back Row Smiler. Love your videos so keep up the good work reason why I went Alton Towers

Many a happy time visiting Clacton Pier growing up. Now I take my Children there with my Wife. I must admit the owners have dug deep in there pockets to make it modern and family fun. Walton Pier (Walton-on-the-Naze) not far off from Clacton about 15-20 mins away has gone downhill big time. It needs investment like Clacton. Great Video.

They took down the Clacton pier big wheel now, so just the one on the Pavilion. I’m local to Clacton, it has improved a lot over the years under new management. The looping rollercoaster looks ready now, so should be open at some point this year. Can keep you posted on that if you want Shawn 👍
