In fairness, I don’t think Claire was in an abusive relationship. She was the star, she got what she wanted. In that case it’s all the more respectable that she walked away from it when she saw what was being done to her colleagues and all the more dangerous because she was walking away from so much with no guarantee of what would come out of the other end (especially when the other end was a recipe book deal; that is not a safe place to live)

I got the new kitchen aid dishwasher for my new house I just bought and I FUCKING love it so much dude. It fits so much more and the third rack is something I wouldn't want a dishwasher without now. It cleans the dishes so so well and dries them so well and it's made so well, you can tell it's good quality and built to last. Had it 6 months and use it daily and it is a dream compared to all the other dishwashers I've had in all my other rentals. Paying a bit more for it really paid off. Also my kitchen aid mixer is a hand me down from my MIL and it still works perfectly. I love my KitchenAid mixer, coffee maker, etc, even garbage disposal… hate my KitchenAid dishwasher with a burning passion. Replacement parts are sometimes hard to find, expensive, and poor quality. I’d be really wary of any other large appliances they stuck their name on.

c could someone who's made baked Alaska clarify why you need to freeze the cake with the ice cream? couldn't you just freeze the ice cream and place it on top of your round of cake (asking because my family aren't fans of sponge cake and prefer butter based cakes but I know claire said they dont freeze well), also could you alternatively use a blow torch for the meringue as opposed to putting it in the oven? thanks! x
