NEED TOP COATING ... At minute 16:20 in the video I do let you all know that they do need top coating. The tattoos are tacky.

so to try the little ones that where ment to be big tattoos in key rings to pour very thin resin and then doing the tattoo as they will only be pendants or key rings please say yes so i dont have to waste time top coating a key ring hahah

Pearl tattoos do not get lost in the mica, they stand out beautifully! Thank you. Will now add temp tattoos to my resin/wood turnings. What a wonderful combination. Especially for those of us with limited drawing talent or skill! LOL!

They are all lovely! But, I think complex patterns like those tattoos benefit from a solid colour underneath. A more simple tattoo, like dots/lines/tribal, would look good with mica swirls. The glitter glue is an awsome addition!

Omg omg omg, as you were going through, for EVERY ONE, I was thinking 'OK that's my favourite', I absolutely loved in particular the mica effect, the 2nd one with the light mica nad tha last 3. I love the mica. The business behind the owl is so fitting! It makes it look like it's coming out of a magickal cloud from Beyond. The lighter one has a pattern that draws your gaze to different parts of it.

you have me addicted to using tattoos!!!! only mine are outside door numbers so fare 4 door numbers, my mum seen them, before we went shopping for her mothers day (we where in lock down so i could see her for mothers day so i said we would go shopping when we where allowed to, there was 2wks of being free then all back to a 5 mile limit im 55 miles from my mother, after dragging me around the shops after a surprise corvid jab because im disabled so they come to me and i had a surprise that morning, i had an appointment for an MIR scan in the early afternoon so as you can imagine i really did not need to be dragged around the shops for her to then say " i have been thinking while we have been walking around and i have just had the garden done could you make me a wall plaque" as flattered as i was at that moment i could have killed her lol so have done her one saying " wellcome to Gwyneth's garden " yep i spelt welcome as " WELLCOME" but nothing i can do about it now hahaha, i done a layer of green mica then the wording and tattoo the following day but the ones she chose looked terrible so if you ever need to take one off spray with kitchen roll with pure Acatone and leave it a few min and it will come or with just a gent wipe! so replaced the tattoo still not happy so hand painted the tattoo now i love it and my cleaner seen it and wants 2 for her friends! i had to use a tray mould for my mothers and the same with these two but i love them, so thank you for getting me addicted to tattoos hahaha

Those are amazing. I bought lots of tattoos thanks to your experiments. You can also colour in the areas with gold and silver paint pens and it won’t wash off in resin. Thanks for trying new things. I can’t wait to use mine.

Claire Have you ever tried waterslide paper? You print onto it - so can do any pic/design you like, then put it in water and the back slides away, put the design to your project and slide it off just like the tattoo's. Beautiful. The feather is my personal favourite, like you, I love feathers. I painted and recovered my kitchen chairs and put feathers on them. I love the effects of the mica but it does kinda overtake the tattoo's.

Have you ever tried Puffy Paint? It's in the same bottle with tips as the glitter glue....Awesome work especially using the tattoos...the designs are endless. I will try it with UV Resin.

I can understand your point about the pearl micas overpowering the tattoo on the tray. If you could put the tattoo in the mold like before and then color in the lines with acrylic paint using a small brush, the image should be prominent enough for the pearl mica to give the tray that WOW! factor.

To prevent busy mica and glitter, wait until resin is thicker before you pour in mold.

Miss Claire, you are so full of it! (Good ideas, that is.) You are so talented (and charming). I really like the projects you come up with. I always know it's gonna be something good. Yes, I just ordered some temp tattoos, but I went for the flowers this time. I mostly create goth resin stuff (not for me, but to sell). The mica is beautiful, but it is too busy as a tattoo background - maybe great for something else. Other brands of mica flatten out more, but I can see good uses for the Resin Pro. The glitter behind the tattoos is GORGEOUS! Well done! Congrats again on the new room layout. It's so nice to have room to work (while it lasts). Thanks for another great video.

Next time you try this, instead of glitter glue, try with a small paint brush painting mica into the places you want it and pouring resin over it. When I've done this on other molds, the micas didn't run and I could paint multiple colours into the mold.
