Hey lovelies, in this video we are playing with some Polymer Clay and stamps to create some fun Halloween pendants and keyrings. I am using a mixture of polymer clay in different colours. I am then using Halloween rubber stamps to stamp on to my polymer clay and emboss my polymer clay with the stamped images. I am by no means a professional polymer clay artist and know very little about the art however when it comes to relaxation and creating, Polymer Clay is up there as one of the most relaxing crafts. I am using UV Resin to top coat the pieces you can use any varnish and therefore this can be a resin free project. STAMPS ARE LINKED IN AMAZON STOREFRONTS UNDER STAMPS

I have polymer clay from the early 90's. Old colors that retired decades ago. They are fine!! As long as you keep the clay in a dark cool area. The easiest way to bring it back to life is to chop it all up into small bits, put it all into a baggie and add NO MORE than 4-5 drops ( per 2 oz block) of mineral oil, or baby oil. Move the bag around to coat the clay and let it sit for 2-3 days. Wearing gloves empty the bag and squeeze it into a ball and try rolling it out until you can run it through your pasta machine. IF IT IS STILL HARD chop it up again and start again. I love your videos and beautiful crafts! 😍

I love hing-a-me-bobs and doobies you can never have too many of them. LOL. But these are just stunning. I kind of like the gold actually - its dark, and cool. These look absolutely fantastic Claire!! I was literally doing a craft room clean/organize/throw out today and I came to my 2 drawers of polymer clay and was sooo close to throwing it all out but my gut feeling was no, you'll regret it. Now it's the evening and I am watching this, I'm so happy I kept them. Also yes, you can get glow in the dark polymer clay. Love these! Another tip or trick to elevate your keychain/earring pieces made of polymer clay is to place them on a metal domed surface like a metal soap bar and stretch some clingfilm over it to "round" the edges down. Remove cling and bake on domed surface. Makes a tactile smooth surface. Like one of those "worry" stones.

You might want to use high viscosity UV resin, it should stay in place long enough to cure.

These are adorable but you need to follow the directions for baking (on the package) in order to make them not brittle. I do a lot of polymer clay work and following the baking directions for the type of clay you are using is very important. Very cute though.

Claire these are so fun and inspiring I'm going to have to risk life & limb to climb up and dig out my dust-covered polymer clay tote box and give it a go. One big question to you and anyone of your thousands of followers, how the H-E-double hockey sticks do you get those nasty little eye hooks screwed into your resin pieces securely without them (expletives omitted) twisting off and rendering the pieces useless!?!? I have literally tried everything from trying to put them in while the resin is still soft to drilling and praying! The only way I have had consistent luck is to drill a hole that's too big then adding glue to hold them in. ANY help appreciated. Is there some secret as to which ones to buy that are better quality metal? I have ruined so many items that it is depressing. 😢

Hun, you need to be washing those hands. All of those stains and dirt will transfer to your light colored clay.
