Probably NOT ... safety wire practices are laid out in AC 43 and various other handbooks need to be followed ..

show me an actual application...in a tight area where one can barely get a screw driver in to tighten a screw clamp...because 90% of the clamps that I have installed are in areas like this...

You make a good point. Hoses on machinery usually have clamps in tight places. Maybe the application is garden hoses?
