Interesting video. Makes me laugh how they say that the feasting and fighting were so important to their culture. Sound like Vikings to me. I went to Dunvegan with my dad and were given a tour by a man who looked like he could be my dad's brother 😂. We met Clan Chief John McLeod in person. I thought my dad would burst he was so excited. I was disappointed that he had a posh English accent tho.

the reason for the different spelling of the name is that in those times everything was spelt phonetically as it sounded therefore the different spellings, most people were illiterate except for the clergy. most Americans to this day spell phonetically.
