The length to which the mother goes to ensure that the cubs survive is just mind-boggling. Probably applies to most mammalian mothers but the majestic scale at which the life of polar bears operates just makes the entire experience a grand spectacle.

Beautiful documentary. I love polar bears. Polar bears are evolving to adapt to the changing climate. They are hunting caribou instead of seals. They might migrate back to warmer lands, who knows. I'm sure they will figure out how to survive.

Yes. Climate alarmists greatly exaggerate the danger of extinction for polar bears. The only way these apex predators could become extinct any time soon would be greatly increased hunting of them by humans. Bears can live in most climatic environments.

How they claimed they found her > 21:52 How they actually found her > 36:25 From Polar Bears International: "The collars or ear tags we attach to these bears are known as satellite telemetry devices. They are essentially battery-powered GPS devices. In other words, they transmit data to a satellite that tells us which bear the data is from and where the individual was at the time of transmission."

I would love to see the Northern Lights for myself one day. I have spent quite a lot of time in Finland over the years, but mostly in and around Helsinki, never been far enough north to see them, you have to go up to Lapland where they are visible for around 200 nights a year. I will get around to it eventually. From London, UK

At 31:14 - Dennis the guide says it is "only minus 22 today" which sounds terrible. This is a centigrade reading which equates to -8° fahrenheit which seems downright warm for being on Hudson Bay during an artic winter.

So peaceful and such a sense of solace to know that these animals know no confusion about social status or gender or politics. Life can be easier than we make it, but we just have to start with some resolute facts on which we can build our foundations. Without these the ground underneath will be forever be shifting and nothing will be built of substance or integrity. It will always be subject to catastrophic collapse - and with it comes the confusion, anxiety and conflict of this age. Oh that was we would return to a time of logic, reason and sanity. Were we willingly submit to certain constraints in order to keep us from self-destruction.
