Some of us imagine singing this to a loved one lost, but sometimes I think we need to sing this to ourselves as an act of self-love.

I'm only here because someone stole my innocence, people became distant and I could no longer speak the truth because it hurt me so bad. I once had hope still do but it's not even a good one. I feel like I lost everything that made me me, my voice and my individualality and peace of mind. Displaced and living a lie when I should have died.

Sorry for your loss, I lost my Mom in January a few months ago. I got a text from my sister, I rushed to my mother's house just as they were loading her onto an ambulance, she was unconscious and never woke up again. She had a stroke and we took her off life support. All of the sudden during the course of a normal day everything changes and the only comfort is that the very last thing I said to her a few days before was "I love you". I hope that you have some comforting thoughts and memories and I hope the pain eases with time.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. Losing a child is an unimaginable pain, and it's understandable that the memory still feels fresh even after 20 years. Your strength in finding forgiveness despite such a profound loss is remarkable. Remember that healing is a journey, and it's okay to feel the pain and sorrow. May you find comfort in the cherished memories of your daughter, and may you continue to find strength and peace in the days ahead. God bless you too.

People forget that music is an experience. Despite the generic pop and mainstream music coming out nowadays, it's extremely encouraging to see true artistry and creativity coming from the underground scenes. This song is so powerful and moving. With honest lyrics and heart wrenching and raw strings, it paints an experience that makes us feel so many different emotions. Thank you so much for making these amazing songs and I hope you continue to stay true to yourself and create beautiful and honest art ❤️

In defence of pop: it's created to move to and inspire laughter and a good time with friends. I think it's better to allow your music taste to run the full spectrum. After all so does an individual's emotions. I used to be a massive music snob. I allowed to inform my opinion of other people. I found once I gave myself permission to enjoy all kinds of music I began having more memories of me scream singing the Tarzan soundtrack with my best friends in the car and less time isolating myself from the group. I definitely not saying this isn't beautiful. It is. I'm just saying slagging off another genre doesn't make this song any better. It stands on its own merit in its own way, as do many popular songs. 😊😊

My sister was my best friend and soulmate and protector. She died tragically in 2007 only 40 years old. I lost my mind and just started getting it back two years ago. I'm sorry for your lost but this song is definitely from your husband to you. I found that's one of the ways they communicate with us. Your husband is with you. Ignore people who say different. They don't know. But I died for ten minutes and was revived at the hospital in 2005 and I saw a tunnel then bright white lights surrounded me. They were beings of light. They spoke without talking. I could here them in my mind. Which by the way the mind is not a physical thing like the brain. The mind comes from where? It is eternal. I hope you know your husband is with you. Love is the binding force and never dies.

I'm currently reading a book called The Body Keeps The Score: Brain, Mind and Body in the Healing of Trauma by psychiatrist Dr. Bessel Van Der Kolk. He treated many patients with severe PTSD including many war vets. It's a really good, informative, compassionate book, and it was #1 on the best seller list for many many weeks. My friend who went through severe sexual abuse when she was little found this book to be extremely helpful in understanding her PTSD, and I'm reading it to better understand what she went through so that I can support her better. Wishing you all the best

Dear reader, you know I used to cry a lot while listening to this, and today I came back for that so here's a thing for you all I don’t know you and you don’t know me. Probably we are not even living in the same country. We look different. You may be older than me or younger. We are just complete strangers. But there are a few things that connect us. We are humans. We have emotions and feelings. A personality that defines us. And we are both on KZbin, searching for sad songs, no matter why. Please, if you read this. No matter what's going on in your life at the moment, you can do it! You can manage out of it, you will stay strong because there are people who love you! And these people are worth it. Yes, we are strangers but not too far away from each other to not say that you are a great person !!! Because you are! I hope even if it’s just one of you, that I could help or support you in a way . This comment is for all the lonely people out there 🍁 - Feddi Ghani (long story short, I once tried to end me and here I'm again hoping for better day so you should too, don't forget god is in you) he will fix all better way

my mom passed away when i was 29.. she was only 47.. I hadnt seen her in almost 2 months.. and i talked to her that afternoon, id been working alot and had some money saved up and i wanted to treat her to anything she wanted.. she wanted to go to payless and catch a shoe sale..so Promised to pick her up in the morning and spend the day with her, was going to take her shopping, get her any shoes she wanted.. but she died that night. Mothers day was just upon us..and she has been on my mind since.. more than usual. --all my sympathy.

@@lawandacooper5062 I do miss her...she passed away far too early. But i have to say this.. Crazy as it sounds.. I had a dream about her a few years back.. it was pretty mindblowing.. But im pretty sure shes waiting. I was taken by a guide up an elevator shaft, to the surface of a planet {or moon?} overlooking a giant ringed planet..so big one quadrant of the ring filled the whole sky from my perspective.. but i was tugged from taking in the skyline, by my guide, who mind you..had the appearance of my young nephew..but spoke totally different.. it was as if something was taking a familiar form to me, as some type of comfort maybe.. so im led down this dirt path and i passed between several "earthen" houses ( by that i mean it was as if the ground decided to form perfect humps for people to carve out and live within) each one had two small round windows and a door... i passed 3 before the guide pointed to one ahead and said..."in here".. so i walk into this small dirt house and it was filled with light and my mom was sitting in a real cozy chair by a fireplace.. as i was walking towards her..i couldnt help but notice there were pictures all over the walls..so many there was hardly an inch space between them all.. and it was pictures of us.. me my sister, her kids.. but they werent regular pictures of us posing..they were pictures id never seen before.. all from strange angles as if someone could spy on our every move and take stillshots. And my mom had this thing about decorating the fireplace mantle it was always her center piece.. well in this little house she had 1 fireplace, and 3 mantles lol! but the other 2 mantles were just sitting on the other walls but FULLY decorated and lit up with images of us all around.. i remember an extremely warm feeling.. like being back home.. home home, back in the womb. But as i took all this in so clearly.. i was moving towards her as she was getting out of the chair.. we embraced..and said nothing.. there was nothing to be said.. we were on again...everything between us, known and understood. That was the last thing i remembered before i woke. This is my true recollection of that dream. I swear. And i dream quite often, but never like that.. And not since.. but there were some very distinct things about that dream, that make me feel like it was more than a dream. I dont know if u dream of your mother.. But i sincerely hope and pray, that you be shown, what you need to see, to be comforted and assured. We are so much more than flesh and bone. Consciousness is the most pristinely cultivated energy in the universe.. once energy is created, it cannot be destroyed..but is able to endure and grow through all states of change. 1

Nice sentiment... If only the whole world could feel this way...We are all the same people , inside...Yet...Politics , religion , and basic selfishness seem destined to doom our race... So much good could be done , if we truly wanted that to happen . Yet , we seem destined to repeat the same mistakes over and over again..." We are the World" ...indeed ...But never seem to learn , or even care , about saving it...So sad...!

Thank you to my daughter for sending me here to hear this at just the right moment in life. This is exceptionally powerful. Never reached for my Earbuds so fast when something started playing. I knew in 10 seconds I was about to embark on a journey my soul needed. I cried. Ty for making this. 💚

In general case people can often read our thoughts through our eyes The best example is teacher But Only some percentage of people actually have deep understanding of our deep emotions through eyes! As far as I remember I have only meet 1 or 2 people in my life

I've been listening to this song since it was ever released and it always gave me inner peace and a sense of love... But now that I am finally old enough to realize the lyrics, each and every line is hitting me like a thorn piercing thru my heart. Two my two departed souls, the ones that were left in this crucial race of life, when the bad days will finally be gone and your soul be collide with mine, I hold you ❤️

Vocês tiveram a dimensão de tempo desconectadas. Cada um vive em uma dimensão temporal agora. O que não alivia muito a dor, sabemos...mas o tempo sempre termina separando e criando novas estruturas organizadas.❤️

Lost myself a few years ago, only to find myself in pieces, still trying to find all the parts to put myself together, realizing it will take the rest of my life and a few more lifetimes to be whole again, but never the same.

You may not want to hear this, but no it won't It may happen tomorrow. You have no idea, my friend. If you let yourself believe that it will take forever, it will take forever. You're beautiful, and your soul is more powerful than you comprehend. You'll get through it. You've gotta search for the outer boundary line, the happy place. Not the happy place with people and excitement.. the happy place where you're staring up at the stars and smiling. Wherever that is, you will find it. You have to allow the change to happen. I dont know you, but if you're like me, you've probably let yourself remain sad, because it's comfortable.. its normal. Its what you're used to, so it's okay, to you But it isn't. Rage against the dying of the light. You'll be okay, I believe it. You'll have one moment where everything that has ever happened in your life, beforehand, instantly becomes realized as a build up, A violently beautiful crescendo. In that moment, you will smile, and you will finally know where that happy place is. I believe it. Have a good day, I believe in you.

When i sing this, it isn't just a repetition of words. I'm singing to the wounded little girl hidden inside of me and it helps so much.

Or maybe the song allows you to "feel" - it's really quite magical. Maybe the label is less important, "happy" or "sad' than the feelings the song generates... Hope.

I'm a 29 year old male, covered in tattoos, spend a bit of time in the gym, and my daughter's first birthday is on the 25th of this month, 11 days from now, and this song has literally brought tears to my eyes imagining what life may look like without her, my heart goes out to any parent who no longer gets to look forward to their little girls birthday.
