First time I heard this song ay dahil sa isang girl that I like. Sa kanya ko nalaman ang song na 'to. Then she even performed "Wine" during her very first live gig wayback 2019. I was there supporting her from the very start. And now everytime na pakikinggan ko 'to, siya yung naaalala ko. This song is so good and I can' t wait to hear you singing it live na. Yes, it is a song about unrequited love, that in itself is quite sad. But I was actually referring to the lyricist or the speaker of the song. Don't you think it's kind of romantic to still hope for the love of someone you hold dear? Or having possibly drunken and delusional thoughts of should I still go for it because maybe he/she is still worth it? If this song was written for me, I'd punch myself for hurting such a sweet person who had thought of me like that. I think either I'm just a hopeless romantic or a fucked up soul for thinking it was sweet or romantic.

i think, the fact that shes already recognising him as someone who is not good for her, she's on the verge of moving on or worse hating him. yes, she says sweet words like "you're my sweetest vice" but something like these always follow, "a lump in my throat, a bit too much to swallow" "taste like wine in my tongue, don't know if you're good to me" "cause every time youre around i loose sight of the ground, i feel like im bound to fall" it's like she's only gotten use to having him around, loving him, things like that....like she wanna hate him but she cant because i dont know why but shes holding back, something is holding her back....and or maybe there's still a part of her that is thankful that this person came into her life...
