We need more brave, peace-loving, articulate people like Clare Daly and Mick Wallace in the EU Parliament. Ireland can truly be proud of these two wonderful MEPs. Israel can do what it likes with the unconditional backing of the US. It carries out war crimes against the poor people of Gaza. For the most part the western media and governments have nothing to say about it. Clare and Mick never hesitate to draw attention to this cruel injustice. We need more people like them in public life. Israel is constantly firing rockets into Syria destroying Damascus and Aleppo airports, even after Syria had just experienced a horrific earthquake and food and blankets were trying to be sent to the people of Syria. Israel commits the most terrible crimes against the Palestinian people and the world just turns a blind eye. Clare Daly and Mick Wallace don't turn a blind eye. They condemn injustice and evil whenever they see it. We need more people like them.
