We always make a stop at Curbside Coffee (usually at the first location) on the way to Betty's. Appreciate you sharing this video - great to see how it's all coming together again.

So incredible to see in your video what reconstruction is actually going in. We drove through via Rooiels a few weeks ago and unable to stop and have a look. It is truly amazing to see this here. Thank you!

Named after Clarence the cross-eyed lion in "Daktari". Clarence met his sad end on this road. His trainer was driving him to a new film location in a pickup truck, all painted with zebra stripes. He pulled over for a comfort break, and poor old Clarence woke up and hopped over the side into the fragrant wildflowers with the same idea in mind. He squatted down, a daft grin on his majestic but comedic face, as he relieved himself, stretched his old limbs and yawned. At that moment another truck came round the corner. It's driver took in the scene. A man taking a leak behind his truck, with a huge lion ten feet behind him with its jaws wide open. Instinctively, the driver stopped his truck and grabbed the pump-action shotgun that, let's face it, you can't be without, and, well, that was the end of poor old Clarence. Nice that they named the road after him, he was after all an international celebrity.

You need to have a site for a memorial to Clarence, where his fans can leave messages and beef treats to his memory.

And Kogel Bay resort is still closed? Some say that the long awaited reconstruction of the SLP road between Ooskus Fisheries and the N2 will start in September 2024.
