Clarence is an American animated television series created by Skyler Page for Cartoon Network. The series revolves around the title character and his two best friends, Jeff and Sumo. Page, a former storyboard artist for Adventure Time and revisionist for Secret Mountain Fort Awesome, developed the series at Cartoon Network Studios as part of their shorts development program in 2012. he series focuses on the daily life of Clarence Wendle, a fun-loving and spirited 10-year-old boy, and his best friends: Jeff, who is the more intellectual type, and Sumo, who often uses drastic measures when solving problems.

I will forever be a fan of Clarence. There is something so whimsical and cozy about it that takes me back to my childhood yet it doesn’t feel overly childish or dumbed down for younger viewers upon rewatching it years later. It also somehow ended up residing in my mind all these years later and I can vividly remember most of the episodes.

I didn't watch it while I was airing (kid me was scared of Cartoon Network for some reason), but I really enjoyed watching this show for the first time a few years back. I need more reactions of this show! This is my all time favorite show since I was little. Me and my friend were watching ultimate Spider-Man on Disney xd and all of the sudden some ad from a “butt face” came on tv and my friend and I never laughed more. I begged my mom to record it and every day I’d ask if it came out till finally the day came and I didn’t know what I was in for. Since then my mom, dad, friend, uncle and I started to love Clarence. Anyone we subjected it to loved it. Nothing will ever top it. It is the show above all. Also me and my friends are also Clarence sumo and Jeff. Whenever I go to a fast food place I literally only get the fry drink and toy. I’m Jeff of course. My best friend is Clarence, and my old friend who I don’t talk to anymore WAS sumo. Imagine everything about sumo but an actual person. Great times, and greater times to come with this show.

One thing this show does well involves Chad. In most shows, the father is portrayed as a fat, lazy, stupid, bad fathers, like Richard Watterson, Homer Simpson, and Peter Griffin. Chad may be fat and lazy, but he does genuinely care about Clarence. Chad sees Clarence as his son, and actually tries to be a good role model for Clarence, despite not being his real father.
