The Bank of Evil is a genuinely great world-building idea and I'm honestly disappointed they never bring it back in the sequels. Seriously, why wasn't Mr. Perkins the villain in the later films? Despicable Me (the first one at least) is genuinely such a funny and well-written movie. The plot is great, the jokes hit hard, and the characters are all likable, especially Gru. None of the sequels will live up to the greatness of the first film alone, but it’s still one of my favorite movies to this day.
