Its hard to say he's one of the most underrated midfielders of recent times because anyone that knows anything about football knows he is right up there with the likes of Zidane and Iniesta. As a Milan fan, Seedorf was part of my childhood and I was astonished every time I saw him playing. He was just not a fantastic player but also a great man, always humble and ready to help his teammates. His pure class was a pleasure to see every time he played. With Pirlo and Gattuso came out a perfect chemistry for midfield. And don't forget this man won 4 Champions League with 3 different teams (Ajax, Real Madrid, and Milan). I really miss this type of players, he is always in our hearts.

To show all Clarence Seedorf class you will need hours of tapes and recordings. And that wouldn't probably be enough. He was pure football, joy and pane. He could do whatever he wanted with a ball in his feet. So so so so so much underrated from people and "experts".

Competition back then was crazy to be fair. Look at all the players in his generation. If they all the medical expertise that nowadays players have, most of these so called players now will be nowhere to be found. Older generations are head and shoulders above the new class. The world probably will see another pirlo, xavi, iniesta, zidane, gerrard etc. To many players are compared to them nowdays. But the only thing they will never see is a new seedorf. He was the only player in the history of football that could do anything. He has vision, control, pass, dribbling, strength, power etc. Is like the perfect midfielder. Zidane was a masterclass but he didnt have the power and the strength same as pirlo xavi or iniesta. Gattuso had the power but not the vision or the control. He had everything. The only proffeser of football. They never put him on the greatest midfielder ever conversation. They can say xavi, iniesta, zidane or pirlo but none said seedorf. Thats why he is underrated cuz he probably overall was the best midfielder ever. Ps. His shot had technique and power. He could score from any position. No one could stoped his shot. 🐐

@davies53045 жыл бұрын
Let me break it down a little bit... Xavi iniesta was like a combo... They both excelled because of their passing technique and combination games... The introduction of tiki taka style really showed the passing prowess of these two players... Their individual style of play got a little bit overshadowed by tiki taka... But if compared w.r.t. individual skills seedorf definitely surpasses them. Seedorf zidane and bergkamp played in similar style. But i put zidane ahead because zidane was capable of winning matches alone. Just see how he played during the euro 2000 and world cup06... His stint is real madrid was simply amazing. He scored in big matches, created chances, helped in defence, controlled midfield. So i put like zidane then seedorf and then bergkamp... Pirlo is considered great because of his long ball and pings and pin point accuracy while passing and pirlo was a cdm where as seedorf mainly played as cmf or cam so cant really compare their style of play..

So it was a long shot that by the sheer power curved down slightly? a chip is running up towards the goalie and arc it over him with placement not power.

Seedorf was a champion everywhere he played, from the minute he started playing in the senior team to the moment he retired, in any position he was asked to play in. He'd be my first pick any day on any team under any condition.

What a player. He can, pass, shoot, tackle, dribble and hes strong. The guy played for a great ajax, real madrid and ac Milan team. Forget comparing him to your english boys, hes by far the best.

Lamento profundamente não tê-lo visto, presencialmente, jogar no meu querido Botafogo. Ele foi uma lenda que nos deu a honra de compartilhar seus atributos invejáveis dentro e fora de campo. Vida longa, Clarence Seedorf! Meu muito obrigado.

One of the best players of his era, extremely successful and the only player to win the championship league with three different teams. It is unbelievable that one missed penalty for the Dutch resulted in him being disrespected and unloved by many. Seedorf was a great player, intelligent and also very humble, modest and a good man in general.

Powerful, technical, agile, creative. His balance was stupidly good. His character is unique as he deserved to play at the biggest clubs in Europe for his nature.

Tuve el placer de verlo jugar en su mejor momento. Impresionante Seedorf, potente, cerebral, lider, dueño del medio campo y sobre todas las un socio del barro. De aquellos jugadores que hacen lento lo rápido y rápido lo lento. Buen video MATIGOL!!!

@Eshwar Prabhakar they were both equally as good..he didnt always go on the attack..he let the CAM and STRIKER do that..like in milan he would let kaka(CAM) and inzaghi(STRIKER) do that.. he played where toni kroos plays
@gargola18874 жыл бұрын
@Eshwar Prabhakar i said CM earlier..playing behind kaka who was milans CAM.. seedorf nevert olayed CAM in all of his career..it was always cm right in the middle of the pitch
