First off i think it’s her will and guts that makes her the legend she is. For about almost 2 rounds elkin really used the grown to show it was her domain and this was also one of shields first matches in the mma and she didn’t shy away. Like “Kobe mamba mentality” she went straight for I.T right at elkin letting her know this might be my weakness but I’m that dog that my weakness I won’t be allowed to make me falter. And she beat her at her own game in the same way and she purposely did that. She not like a rampage Jackson or kimbo slice she’s a different breed from them as dominant strikers. She showed even out of her specialty she can get it done any way needed! Champs win ugly and unconventionally and she fiercely went into winning that way I think this is a real statement win for her even with the room to grow

Isn’t that what Holly Holm was and is though? A multiple time world champion who was much better immediately when she made the transition, and who topped out as a champion in the UFC? The advantage Holm had though is that she had also been a kickboxer/Muay Thai champ, which has always translated better to the cage than straight boxing.

@erick28532 жыл бұрын
That's asking a bit much of her at this point in her career. Realistically I'd say she really just needs to focus her training on takedown defense and getting back up off her back. Trying to focus on anything beyond grappling basics/fundamentals is going to hurt her more than help her.
@azureavocado51952 жыл бұрын
@@mariocampos7590 Absolutely false. None of these female fighters have a fraction of the athleticism that she does. Moreover she is a tried and tested Olympic gold medalist …not once, but twice. She also coached a camp of Olympic hopefuls. She’s a vet. She is tenured. Womens MMA is nothing spectacular. She has what it takes in and out of the cage. And these girls won’t be able to keep her down. So nice try, but Clarissa can dominate all of this easily.
