Clarissa is a great boxer and fighter, she was a gold medalist. But she does NOT have knock out power. That and her grappling is the reason why she struggled here. In boxing she's 14-0 with only 2 KO victories. She knows she has to win with in and out striking. Salute to both.

She's being given special status, with Bellator changing the rules of how an MMA fighter can fight. Elbows were not allowed in this fight. How the hell do you tell an MMA fighter she can't use elbows. She had the mount at the end of the third round, and if she could have thrown elbows, it might have ended differently.

@marcd1981 I know right, doesn't make any sense at all, The reality is she needs to just stick with boxing she's not build for Mma
@stevesmith78438 ай бұрын
not really, she's being given fighters with losing records, who aren't allowed to use all their weapons, even though they're terrible lol. and they're still nearly beating her. put her in there against amanda nunes, or valentina schevchenko, she's done within 2 mins lol. That would be learning in the fire, like ngannou just did, beating fury then getting KO'D by joshua in round 1. This is just fighting people who suck and barely scraping by.
@lordsofgaming29308 ай бұрын
@stevesmith7843 why would you put her in there with those fighters? Why would you not build her up? She has no ammy record in MMA or experience in a comparable sport. Your using her for eyeballs to the sport due to her Olympic and Boxing experience where she is the most decorated woman athlete. and hoping you can bring her along through tune ups so she can fight bigger contenders for bigger pay days for your promotion. Lets just say you would be a terrible promoter/manager. Only required a slither of thought. You put any of those fighters in a boxing ring with her and you end up with the Jake Paul experiment. The reverse is happening here.
