It’s crazy that Gary Vee was the father figure I needed when I didn’t have one. Two years later I’m so much happier and more proud of myself because I took the time to try to implement his lessons and it’s made me a better human being and for that I love you Gary❤️ I’m sure a lot of other ppl will agree with me when I say you were there for me when a lot of other ppl weren’t. 😊

Very true man. I lost my father several years ago and I think the reason Gary resonates so much and reminds me of the advice my dad would give is he tells you what you need to hear vs what you want to hear. Too many people blowing smoke about manifesting things out of thin air with no hard work. Luck is always exponentially multiplied by hard work.

I used to make 7.50 an hour working at McDonald 10 years ago. i gave up chasing the nice clothes and nice things and started caring less about what people thought of me and today I am proud to say i make 15 an hour doing what i love running my own business. and i enjoy every fucking day i work. i hated McDonald i wanted to quit every single day but quitting didn't get me where i am today i worked hard and built up a great resume in management and business now i have no boss to please and no one to boss me around and i fucking love it. i hope this post gets lots of likes i put my heart into this. Thank Gary.

Thank you, as a mom of two very hard working high school aged boys I appreciate your rants on finding what brings you joy so you can enjoy the work you chose. Too many people push to work in industries that make them money but DO NOT make them happy. They put on a pair of golden handcuffs and then can’t figure out why they are where they are... yes work hard, yes hustle if you love it ... but live within your means... there lies happiness

I listened to Crushing it while walking my dogs a few months ago, and then it clicked. From that day forward I decided to create content and provide value rather than consume it. Providing value to others has been a life changer. The gift is to the giver. I make a video every day, hours and hours of editing, I don't take weekends off. But I don't even notice. I make less money, but control my schedule, and now know what you mean 'work is the happiness'. The process is the is the goal, you just need to find the right process for you. Thanks Gary.

I resonate so much with being obsessed with your craft and feeling like you’re suffocating giving energy to anything other than your respective craft. I’ve joked around that it’s almost like a blessing and a curse for me to feel that way. Like if I’m doing something that isn’t my passion or isn’t pushing me closer to my passion then that shit hits me HARD every time. On the bright side though, that pushes me to do exactly what I love, because I know I literally can’t live any other way!

Reminds me of the Alan Watts video "If money were no object" I listened to that a couple year back when I was currently running at t-shirt print business & not enjoying it. Money was good, but I was miserable. My hobby is and always has been filmmaking. So, I sold all the print kit, bought a camera and started from scratch. 2 and a half years of eating crap & learning from youtube tutorials I am now in a position where I have nearly half the year already booked with projects for 2019 and I couldn't be happier! Love you Gary, keep doing your shit!

It's really about how advertising works. Advertising is about getting you to connect an emotion with a product. We buy something for how we think it will make us feel. Usually, that feeling is happy and successful. Then we need to ask what could I "do" rather than what could I buy that would make me happy and successful.

It will basically be like retiring, better than retiring, because it will be freedom to do and experience all the good the world has to offer. Retiring at 36 sucks. I'm not following the guaranteed paths, and I'm told I'm immature and I need to grow up!! I thank the fucking universe right here right now for your presence. I know my own inner voice needs to be strong enough to silence the rest, and I am on my way there... until then, I'm gunna keep turning to you when I'm slippin... cuz fuck!! I decided to move to Vietnam for 8 months, when everyone said I needed to stop traveling and get a real job. I knew Vietnam was the one place I was really happy. I was a vet struggling with depression. Most people thought I was crazy. 5 months in I think it was the best decision I've ever made for myself.

Gary, lean into everything that you talked about here. I implore you to do so! Everything you talked about here will hit so many people more so with kids, young adults and everyone in between. To me, getting threw high school was the hardest thing for me to get threw in life! I lost count how many times i thought about taking my own life because of high school! It's the Syco blah blah that kids, teachers, and parents that hit me so hard with their judgment an comparing me to others. Why can't i be normal, or be like other kids! Because i am not fucking them and i wouldn't lower or raise myself to be them! Yet, i tried to be like them. Tried to fit in i should say! There was no place in their world for me to fit into! So i fell into a deep depression, hit away, hit my feeling, dare not to show how i felt or to speak up! For i was judged for anything and everything that i did or did not do! I am now in my 40s and a lot of these things still hit me hardcore. But i have gotten over some of it but i don't think i will overcome it all! Thanks for your time and hope to hear from you soon. Thank you for all the work and kind words you speak!

Work your face off to make your life the best you can. It’s really a simple concept. Honestly, I think it’s harder to justify why you won’t make it, than actually trying to make it.

I think my opinion is just keep learning, even though if isn’t you love to do, just try to learn from it. But of course I still prioritize the things what I love the most to do. Further always be happy and try to do some activities that will leisure my self, like doing adventure, going at beach, waterfalls, something that give peace into my mind and relax. And always document my activities wherever I go, putting it into my channel.
