Starting is the hardest part! Once you do that just keep going and it becomes a habit. When I first started building my personal brand so many people where into the "fake it till you make it" it made me sick. "Just call yourself an expert, just pretend you're successful." How about you go out and do stuff until you get results and then go out and impact some lives! Like Gary does :)

I've been documenting every time I take my ass to work as an artist at conventions, even before I found Gary. I somehow KNEW that being able to see my progress in video form would be, at the very least, fascinating to my future self. BUT hearing Gary describe how to use it to bring value to others is where the biggest change came, where I'm turning it outwards and using the vlogs to help other people WHILE I document my journey. I can fucking help other artists just by turning a fucking camera on while I'm working. That's ridiculous. I love it. I fucking love you Gary.

I started my youtubevlog last September after 3 years of 'not starting'. Now it's an amazing feeling every time I upload a new video. Can't live without. I started my own (part time for now) business a couple of months ago, after 2 years of 'not doing it'. Since the start, overload of work, not even time to prospect. I'm blown away... If only I started my business earlier... A couple of years ago, I started watching your videos Gary. One of the best decisions in my life ever. Even met you in Antwerp THREE times on a day at the What's Next Conference! (STILL getting daily energy boosts because of that !!!) I started to believe in myself AND work on myself, what are the absolute number ones to do in any person's life. Thanks for your wise words and content. A HUGE fan!

I gave up working as an engineer after college. I got sick with a rare autoimmune disease. I'm still sick but what a freedom I feel now that I can be an artist a writer a poet just like that. And then ignite my creativity with infoproducts and move on. Just experiment with all that turn on my passion. So I'm starting writing my second unpublished poetry book and I'm so happy even though I'm still broked and the medical spends are huge. Happiness it's not just at the other side of fear but it's all over the path. Just let's do it.

I like to do and I dont plan much, I remember only watching half of the first video i ever saw of you, but i kept the things you said in my mind and my whole business thought process started changing over time as I watched more and more of your videos in my free time. I promised to myself i would put into action whatever you said rather than just listen. I failed, i failed and now I own an Lifestyle/Fitness apparel brand with over 12k followers in only 4 months, I took smart marketing strategies, focused heavily on prouduct development and VIRAL type posts to create brand awareness, i hustled and i managed to direct, film and produce and high quality launch video aswell as huslte for free graphic work done for me. Started with nothing and now im doing DROP SHIPS with over 25-30 seperate retailers after endless nights of networking and hustling. I call it "Educrastination." It's the art of convincing myself that I don't have all the answers yet, that I don't know enough about my subject yet, and so I need to consume everything I can until I feel like I'm prepared to talk about (x). Because (in my mind) if I start talking about something, and someone comes along who knows more than me on that subject, they'll laugh at me and get others to laugh at me and quickly shame me into shutting up forever. This narrative runs in my head constantly when I think about starting, and it's what has kept me in the Heart phase and out of the Hustle for the last decade. Excuses, complaining, and a lack of self-confidence...all those things add up to...well, not much. Here I am, getting ready to start. Thanks, Gary, for all that you do every day, to help us learn enough about ourselves to live our truth out loud.

I'm always out creating content on both my KZbin channels. Starting is one of the hardest parts. I notice a lot of my friends have stopped after starting because they see little return on their efforts. I always tell them, that's part of the process. We must start small and if we want to be big one day, we must start soon! Publishing another video as I'm posting this comment. Got in person clients, online clients, fulltime commitment to school, internship, volunteer hours at church, and more as well. Just don't waste time and start! There's no excuse not to start today. Thank you Gary for the great video.

This was so good and powerful! I'm tired of setting goals for my self, than twiddling my thumbs and waiting for the opportunity to come to me, rather than me going out and actually making it happen. I'm tired of sitting and watching other people become successful or me not wanting to outshine someone else, instead of me rising the hell up and getting a piece for myself. DOING is everything and separates the influencers from the followers! In order for me to reach my goals, I have to get over the factor than I might fail because that's better than me doing literally nothing! Failing doesn't mean my vision or dream is wrong, it just means that I need to try another approach, until I reach the level of success that I want to obtain for myself! YES!!!

I remember watching one of your Instagram stories awhile back, and you told a caller something like "you just need to fucking start sharing and creating shit" and she sounded like she wasn't happy with the answer. People want that shortcut to anything in life; wealth, success (however you define it), weight loss, athletic achievement... but there is nothing of the sort. When I started my KZbin channel a little while back and I put my first video up that I worked hard at...nobody watched it. Some people quit at that point, and think that their words and information doesn't matter. Not me, and you shouldn't either. The companies and brands that are big today started with nothing but an idea in some person's head. Like you said, START.

I wake up every single day at 4:50 am and drive across town to buy a cup of coffee. Always a different location, always different coffee. I snake up and down every residential street on the way home, sipping my coffee and picking up free curb items. By the time my wife and children wake up every single day, I've made $200-$300, easy. While it's an odd stream of income, it gets me the most excited compared to everything else I do. It's also put me in front of many random yet interesting opportunities. I knew what Gary knew before he ever started speaking publicly. Financial innovation and making connections is in my DNA. I have it, and I know it. Listening to his content is becoming a new and very valuable part of my morning routine. Very excited to see what I can learn from this guy. I'm certain I'll never go broke again.

This one "key" hit me like a giant pipeline wave Gary...how could I be so dense as to not realize this that "documenting is the key to content!" Especially with packaging an expertise or a message. About two years ago, a mentor and dear friend who believed in my dream and vision to give voice to the voiceless, help people love who they are from trauma to freedom, as he did for me to recover my life and care deeply for humanity. He then tried to tell me to "document" my dog and I, but still didn't connect the dots...my friend just died and it fueled & infused an intense desire to rise up with the pain of his loss, wanting to take everything he ever said and DO IT! The Universe shifted and I began to listen to your podcast and I heard those words, "document the content"! OMG life changing, "Gary, Phil, I finally get it!" We have the greatest opportunity of all time to leave a legacy as Dr. Phil has for me, that is the gift of awareness!

I without a doubt know I am going to be okay.Gary and I are the exact same person giving the exact same advice. What he has that I don't is a community, platform, and strategy to disperse it. Delivering content at scale / execution. Thanks for being an inspiration. Now watch out.

See how it's a win win for Gary ? If someone starts and fails, they are just another "loser" , if someone starts and wins, they praise Gary forever. If the loser becomes upset because of the bad advice or lack of advice at all he was given, then he is just called a "hater"... see what is going on here? It's quite clever on vayner medias part, unfortunately it is a bit of a scam

Such an important message but should have included patience and that there's no overnight success.. When people start they're not patient enough and give up early..

This is one of your best videos. It's got the usual great motivation & passion, which are always awesome, but what I really appreciate is the real world recommendations you give to actually get your dream off the ground. The technique of searching related IG hashtags & then hitting up companies to be potential sponsors takes a lot of effort but it works. Knowledge like that can change the lives of entrepreneurs watching this video. Great job. 💪🏼💯

i've been watching and listening to gary for a couple of months now and he really does bring out the best of me. i've finally started posting these videos on my youtube (raw maud) that i've always wanted to post but never had the courage to. now i'm so proud of myself and doing it makes me happy, even though i have 10 views and most of them are from my closest friends. i know it's the beginning and i have lots and lots of things to do so that people discover and hear about my channel, but at least i've started and it feels great to be able to express yourself freely!!!

Okay but like I'm that "one f*cker" It's 4 in the morning and I watching this and I have never NEVER felt so stupid at how much time I have wasted. So I got up and started writing everything that I'm going to do, want to do, etc. I STARTED. And I'm going to keep going. Gary vee may never see this comment but if by chance he does, thank you. Seriously seriously thank you.

Gary's well meaning advice is similar to telling people waiting in-line for bread that they need to get in-line sooner. This is not a practical solution and doesn't scale. There isn't enough demand for the 1.6M viewers to go create anything profitable or sustainable...all that results is noise and risk. Our economic ship is going down and Gary's advice is to swim harder instead of getting out of the water or asking why we're drowning in the first place.
@willietheron27175 жыл бұрын
Its all about supply and demand. One of the greatest demands is Mastery. If one doctor is known to save lives, and the other is known to lose patients. Who will you likely want to go to? The price of mastery is time. There's no shortcuts here. So I will say that there absolutely is a high demand in our world, for many things. But people want quality. And to build that takes years. Only 1 in 100 will be willing to pay that price. And this will never scale. Because most people want quick and easy results and stop when things are hard. And that's why its easy to succeed in 2019. My opinion is that any person who masters anything of value will succeed in life. And the 99 will complain because they feel that its unfair that they cannot have the same results as the 1%. But most often they are not willing to have the same sacrifices either. But this is coming from someone who takes full accountability for their own life. Someone who has gone days on end without eating. Someone whose made $15 000 for 5 hours of work. I have been on both sides, broken to financially free and I honestly believe that the answer is mastery.

This video kicks me in the butt every time I see it! Just. Start. Deploy self-awareness and double-down on your strengths instead of falling short trying to shore up your weaknesses. Once you know who you are and what you're good at, figure out what you want to say and put in the work getting it out into the world. Just. Start.
