I love the detail that even though MAWS’s version of Brain and Mallah arn’t supervillains and are allies to superman, they still do a ton of questionable stuff like create an army of mutants out of boredom, or keep a black hole in their lab. Not technically evil, but shady enough so that it makes perfect sense how every other version of them across the multiverse are villains.

Honestly, you know they’ve given those mutants names and treat them like kids when company isn’t around. Also, I’m surprised we finally have an adaptation where the brain and Mallah are explicitly a couple. Would’ve liked them to be a little evil for the mystique and Destiny energy of it all.

@@L2L732 I mean, there are ways you can have both. There’s a valentines annual DC did once where Maggie Sawyer of Metropolis has to stop a tech company getting burgled. She sees it’s the Brain and Mallah doing it and it’s all because, apparently, Brain cannot see without the optical receptors he and Mallah need to steal. And Maggie let’s them integrate the receptors into the Brain’s robot body as long as they turn themselves in. Leads to a sweet moment where the Brain is able to see Mallah for the first time in forever. Marvel’s voices line does do specials like their pride comics. One story I like from the 2021 one is a small one where a man implied to be James Moriarty is talking to a man to get money from blackmailing Irene Adler (Destiny) with dirt that she was with another woman (this is the Victorian times)… only for the man he’s talking to revealing himself as Mystique; Irene’s wife. A battle happens on a train and it’s fun.
