Only complaint I have is that he got his heat vision so fast in all but a hand full of cases it takes between a few hours to days of exposure to yellow sunlight for abilities to emerge and heat vision is usually one of the last to appear

The writers don't get it. They think its all about the fame, glory and ego of being a hero. They make this mistake in every current day super hero series. "Go be a hero", "You will be a hero", Super girl says "she wants to be more famous then her brother". Its not about being a hero! Its about doing the right thing.
