Indeed, only one who came close was Jon Cryer, who took everyone by surprise with how good his Lex was. It was great seeing him talk to *Smallville* 's Clark in _Crisis on Infinite Earths_ ... Now we'll have to wait and see how Titus Welliver does in *Titans* season 4... (I used to think no one could top Rosenbaum, and Cryer almost dethroned him for me, so I won't be close minded again.)

​@@randallflagg3700Cryer is too cartoony to me. He reminds me of the Gene Hackman Lex Luthor. Those 2 are shit! Well not as shit as Jesse Eisenberg from Dawn of Justice; they tried their best of what the script was given tho.

What a fine line Clark has to walk, daily challenges. Ironically it is not that he wants to rule the world, but to help everyone he can.

Other fans correct me if I’m wrong, but I kinda feel like Lex got the short end of this friendship. He always tried to help the Kents and look out for Clark but they always doubted and used him when it was convenient for them. All Lex did was be curious about things which is natural considering the strange things that went on with Clark. And even though he never had proof he could feel Clark was hiding something.

You are not Wrong. Lex and Pete were done dirty by people like the fans of Chole and Lana. Those fans were this shows down fall. I quit after Season 6 and haven't looked back Since. Started as a show about Clark ended up being a show about Clark and the women in his life to appease the crazed fans. What a shame. Atleast they cleaned up there act at by Season 8. Fortunately I didn't stick around for that long.

The 1st time I watched seasons 1-4, it seemed that way. But rewatching them years later, it was apparent that Lex always had ulterior motives and didn't respect Clark's privacy.

@@ITSAULGONE Honestly, I got fed up with the constant pining after Lana in S5-7, and then her abysmal return in S8. But S9 and 10 were some of the best, especially 9. Clark grew up a lot in the last three seasons, and Lois got to be centre stage amongst the female characters as she should be. Plus, Zod.
