It's rarely touched on, but I like seeing super powers used in every day circumstances, and with superman they show his strength, but they leave out he could totally make perfect pancakes using 2 drinking mugs, a fork, a bowl, and a plate. His super senses allow him to eyeball it with precision, he can use super speed to mix it and again super senses to know when the consistency is correct, then precision heat vision to cook it. Seriously the "stopping bad guys" bit of his day is all fine and good, but I really want more house hold chores completed with superpowers in the background

@coreynance38743 жыл бұрын
Austin Edmund the smallville episode "Perry" clark lost his abilities temporarily because the sun was hit by a comet causing solar flares which created red sunlight which took away his abilities. there's two kinds of sunlight the good kind and the bad yellow sunlight gives superman his abilities red sunlight takes them away. this episode one second he'd be helpless the next clark would be in overdrive. as soon as the solar flares ended clark's abilities returned and he got his powers back.

@@austinedmund1031 i have the complete series on dvd. on the opening credits seeing the bus hit from smallville season one episode nine "rogue" on the part of the song where they say "i made this whole world shine for you" is epic when the whole bus blew up then the hit in the face with the mace from the episode "shimmer" the gas pipe explosion from the episode "obscure" the lightning strike on the bridge from the episode "leech" and the tornadoes from episode 21 "tempest" are my five favorite scenes from the intro. i also like the way the singer cinjun tate from the band remy zero stretches it out and puts emphasis on the word "whole" in the i made this whole world shine for you that is epic. i also like the scarecrow scene from the intro and the car going off the bridge the clark and lana looking at the sunset scene in the episode "shimmer" even though i'm not really into ships or ship relationships. there's three or four scenes i also like but there only on the season one opening credits the bridge collapsing in the episode "jitters" and clark saving lex and earl jenkins clark throwing greg arkin the bug in the episode "metamorphosis" the gym/locker room being on fire in the episode "hothead" when clark walks though the fire when he fights coach walt the truck explosion from "metamorphosis" after clark saves whitney and that yellow banner that says let's go crows caw caw in the 1989 smallville flashback. those are all epic scenes on the intro's.

@@austinedmund1031 i liked the mace hit in all the intro's for smallville in season one episode 11 "shimmer" when clark get hit in the face and the mace blows up and explodes into a million pieces that scene is awesome and fucking epic. this might surprise you but even though i thought that scene looked good in the show opening and opening credits i didn't think it looked good in the episode or the scene though. my problem with the way the mace hit looked in the episode is it looked like it hurt him which doesn't make any sense at all because clark's not human he's kryptonion so he should have been hurt by that at all my problem with the scene was the way he reacted to the hit and his reaction to it because it looked like that hurt him he should not have been hurt by that at all that's why in that episode the episode "shimmer" i always thought the creator's of smallville or the writers should have made tom welling redo that scene one or two more times. they do take the tornadoes from episode 21 "tempest" off the opening credits in season seven and add the mace scene from "shimmer" and the bus hit from "rogue" back on the opening credits in season ten.

They won't never make these shows as good as this one when it comes to Superman . when you see what we have today supergirl is an insult to this iconic charactor as it is shown in her show that she is stronger than superman at every turn but gets taken down by anyone close to normal or alien or mutated in parts at every turn in almost each episodes making him look like he is one of the weak charactor group in her universe . Clark was never easaly taken down by anyone normal like in supergirl at least not easely like they did in supergirl and surely not the way that supergirl beats him in her show .At no time in the Smallville version was it told the bull shit about Kara being stronger than he was because of her geneticly born kryptonian genes while Clark was born from natural conpception being the reason why he wasn't as strong . In Smallville Kara told Clark that all kryptonians male and female have the exact same capabilities its only that females develope those capabilities in some cases namely her abilities to fly that clark didn't have yet . But even her didn't understand how come he couldn,t have that capabilty yet with his advanced age so far . And later discovered that Clark was simply scared of high altitude which made a funny episode .On no occasion was Kara able to beat Clark nore did Clark with kara , they were in fact at exactly the same level . That is why supergirl is loosing rating right now cause the SJW and the feminist has transformed the DC universe into a total joke by crying loud for gender equality in shows and not applying a single bit of their supposidly righteous vertue in supergirl and in fact make it axactly masoginistic and and sexist to the core as they made it all about female over powering males . where is the gender equality in that ? Smallville was everything about gender equality and that was a fact and proven in each episodes and yet the feminists and SJW called out every old show including Smallville sexist and masoginist and claiming that supergirl is not at all made like that but allways prouves the opposit of what they claim in every episodes .And the same with DC's legends . but DC's legends has fallen real low in the ratings for that exact reason and they don't want to admit it blaming the low rating souly on male masogony when the reasons are exactly the opposit of what they think but refuse to admit it The only reason that supergirl still has a bit more rating is the fact that the charactor is an iconic one and people specially fans hope that the this will change soon . but they are loosing their faith in the show as the ratings are slowly dropping more and more and The Flash being in first place in the ratings by far . Continue to make shows that do not reflect your strong beliefs and the only ones you will be able to blame is yourself not the viewers
@mx.n.36826 жыл бұрын
I honestly can't even watch other 'superhero' series after Smallville. I tried with green arrow, but then it started going off somewhere, I loved all ten seasons of Smallville but stopped that at maybe season 2 or 3. then the flash came out, supergirl, some other ones, and I just can't get into them because Smallville had a lovely feel that these new series don't.

Anybody have a link to a montage of clark using his powers nonchalantly while those around him struggle doing the same thing? For example, i remember him picking up haystacks from each hand while his dad struggles with just one, or when he pulled out a cake (might have been something else) from the oven with no gloves while his mom did it carefully with gloves trying not to burn herself. Its hilarious seeing normal people struggle with stuff that clark never even thinks about.
