Fantastic job! Love the friendship of these two in the early years; wish the writers took an AU direction with the story and allowed the two to reconcile by the end. :/

Actually, I'm rather glad they didn't go that route. One of my favorite ( and in my opinion, one of the *best* ) things about Smallville was the *forshadowing* - whether it was Clark & Lana, Clark & Lex, or Lois & Clark - I loved that you always *knew* what was going to happen between these characters... eventually. Not that you knew *how* it would happen, just that it was *going* to happen at some point. That, to me, is better than any AU approach the writers could have taken, and frankly, the Clark/Lex/Superman dynamic is only ever at its best when they are portrayed as "frenemies" (Lex will always hate Superman, but often admires/ shows respect for Clark - even when they are at odds *because* of the Superman persona. Smallville and the animated series did it best!).

It's been an exhausting couple of weeks! But I swear, I'm back, and I will message you this weekend too! Anyway, onto this Amazeballs vid!! YOU FINALLY MADE A CLEX VID!! I've been hoping for that for a long time!! I'm glad you made it!! Aaaww opening with Lex's speech! Clark giving him hope!! OMG I LOVE the way you connected the moment of Johnathan pulling Clark away as Lex watches them walk off with the scene of Clark choosing Lex over his parents! I love that moment in Shattered SO much. I think it's definitely one of my fave Clark moments!! Aaaww I feel like this video kind of matches your Chlana one! haha you found all these cool parallels. Like Clark over Johnathan's grave and Lex at Lilian's! /cries/ When the beat picked up it was so epic!! You are so great at beat matching! I'm jealous!! "Don't give up on me yet" THAT QUOTE BREAKS MY HEART INTO A MILLION TINY PIECES THAT COULDN'T BE GLUED BACK TOGETHER!! lex repeatedly begged Clark not to abandon him...and...well, we know what happened. Waaaaahhhhh!!! "chasing visions of our futures" Oh I love it with the depressing futures they both could have! "and yet you lie ALL THE TIME" I freaking love that part. It's so true. He's always chastising everyone for lying, but he lies about everything. Literally. haha xD Also random shallow note, but the coloring you used really brings out the blue in Clark's eyes! Oh I loved the way you combined the "power" quotes from Lexmas and Descent! I was always screaming for Clark to realize WHY Lex felt the way he did...then he literally saw inside Lex's mind, and still nothing. lol sorry, I'm just very sad. OMG AND THE ENDING!! "when you broke my chest." Clark with Lex's ashes!! "Goodnight, Travel Well" in the background!! That scene gets me every time!! All the pain and regret is written so clearly on Clark's face. I think he is thinking about how he wishes he didn't give up on Lex/could have saved him. I think that's why he tries with Davis and then Zod. He was really still trying to save Lex. Gah this video is perfect!! I think it's long enough. You still captured their essence (sounds dirty) lol awesome job hun!!
