Clark Michigan wheel loader

Leveling out some fill for a neighbour in an old wheel loader. Sorry about the mic noise! I've since upgraded - lots of detroit sounds in the newer videos.

I was The practical one of a three sibling Family pre- cast business. I inherited a very lame JCB loading shovel that was 15 years old and a worn out under spec liability! We had no money in 1988 but I asked my contact to look out for a cheap but bigger replacement..on the understanding that it be a stop gap for a couple of years He found one for £4000; A 1968 Michigan 125; It needed only a good servicing and minor parts for the 10 years we had it- Unbelievable In the end the round the clock Leyland diesel died ( no compression) and the Clark transmission, Diff and final drive were incredibly still good. Such well made top quality came out of Michigan

Old 2 stroke Detroits last forever as long as you keep them on the governor and keep oil in them. I have a Terex 72-31 with the 4-71 Detroit, and a Michigan 45b with a 6.354 perkins. Love your old Clark/Michigan...it's a beast!

I operated a 175 and I will tell you it will out work a damn catapiller have run all cat loaders up to a 992 still have good memories with it.

It was a rear wheel steering Michigan 85 for me. I was even younger: 14. That thing was a work horse. It would turn on a dime, and could cycle back and forth quite quickly. That was my favorite rig in my dad's not too big fleet (I couldn't figure out the old stinger and wheel trenchers).

You say you have Dozens of these loader?? Do you have a 125B? May i ask what your operation is?? Thank you. P.s. I actually bought a Clark Michigan 125B from out of Grand Junction Colorado, and you possibly give me your opinion on these particular Loaders?? Thank you..

We've owned it for probably 30 years. Always works. I believe the engine was swapped once and the transmission needed service at the same time. Sorry I don't recall the details
