Karen is so "soft spoken" until she starts to "sing", and "oh God", she "rocks" the world. She becomes a different person, HOLY JESUS!!!!!

Dorinda is so beautiful & yes, she's extra hoarse here. But, don't get it twisted b/c, @ a moment's notice, Dorinda will take that same hoarse voice & turn a church, concert hall, and any place on earth OUT!!!!!!!!!!!! I love her vocals b/c they're imperfect & real. She screams, scats, runs, riffs & preaches you from hell back to earth & gives you the desire to keep striving for heaven! Her personality is uplifting also. Her family is so blessed to have her in their lives!

Thank God that the Clark Sisters had a mother who stood with and supported her daughters in spite of the Pharisees and naysayers. Dr. Clark encouraged them to be in the world, but not of it. What a blessing!

The queens of contemporary gospel music (the Clark sisters) movie comes out in April on lifetime, and we gonna see the things that made the sisters the greatest of all time. And I hope and pray that we see dr. Clark in the meeting with the general board after the 1983 Grammys, and what happened that made dr. Clark no longer sung the girls again.

they used a mirror image of Dorinda, on one clip her bracelets are on her right arm and then there on her left arm. Also on Karen. That's neat...I would have thought to do that. I know it saved a lot of time and prevented having to use a lot of footage. I have to take that into consideration when I do my editing. LOL! Great interview by the way!

@tRaCiEq Sharing your gifts is fine as long as God gets the Glory out of your everyday life. TCS has said so many times that you have to live what you sing. The Bible tells us that we will know a tree by its fruit. Isn't that right? Don't worry about those who are "showcasing", not ministering. They will have their day with God. Just pray for them, that they turn it around before it is too late. Be blessed!!

Thanks for your comment. I was really posting in response to what Takersboy said. I agreed with him/her on the fact that let me clarify; ONE of the reasons church is failing is beause of some of the younger folks and older folks who are not willing to accept the blatant hypocrisy. I didn't really say anything about COGIC in general.

(Continued) That's all I was trying to say. Maybe I should have made myself more clear. But I do agree with you as far as doing it for the edification of Christ or sit down. That's basically what I was addressing in the first place. I am aslo the younger generation. I am 23 years old. I just want to go to a spirit filled musical where there's actual ministry and not a showcase of rifs and runs and who's the best at it.

You made this comment a while ago, but i must say that I trully agree with you. The church these days, whether it be COGIC, Baptist, CME, or Methodist, is just not the same anymore because of the younger generation. They treat God's house any old kind of way and get up to minister in any old kind of way. Ministering is not ministering anymore, its singing to showcase talent and vocal acrobats, and I'm really tired of it!
@Takersboy
@Takersboy 16 жыл бұрын
Church is failing because younger folks are not as willing to accept the blatant hypocrisy. People preaching one thing on Sunday and living another way on Monday. I am so priviledged to be able to have a relationship with God that has nothing to do with "Church Folks" running off at the mouth.

@BreBurse
@BreBurse 15 жыл бұрын
you posted this some time ago but I really must say that your conclusion as to why you think chruch these days are not the same is flawed. The "youner generation" includes myself and I conduct myself very well in church. If a child is being corrupt in church it is a reflection of what has been unstilled in them at home. Trust, COGIC does not tolerate "any old kind of way" preaching or singing. Do it for the edification of Christ or sit down.
@BreBurse
@BreBurse 15 жыл бұрын
Oh definitely ; I didn't mean to come off in a defensive maner and I know you weren't specifying any general church, I just wanted to put COGIC out there because its what is familiar to me. But I totally agree with you :)

I hear that. That's what's wrong with the church now. How is the church supposed to reach sinners unless they testify about God's grace away from the four walls?? That's why we have to constantly rebuke the religious spirit off of our churches.

People put the Clark sisters on a pedestal. They have a great sound. But denise voice is the missing link to their sound. People need to study the beginning of gospel music before they can give them that crown as being the greatest of all time

I beleive the Church today beside the AME Church has fallen away from there first love Jesus Christ. He as the chief cornerstone and Headof the body,has been replaced by trivial and worldly teaching.All of us need to return to the simplicity of devotion to Jesus Christ,and consider all things done but for the excellencys of the knowledge of Him.He is all and all,and we the church have lost our way. May Christ alone be preached. Amen.
