Most importantly May would have been too slow for speed ticket while speeding in Germany. Fun Fact 37 ~= 59 kph 50 kph is standard, in Germany you need to be 5 kph over for to be in violation, but because device are are assumed to have - for permanent installed - 5% (always on 100 so effectively 5 kph) [3% for non permanent] tolerance, and to avoid edge cases they start to make photos at 61+ kph. So you can drive 40 in a 30, 60 in a 50, 80 in a 70 ...

A cop on a segway once tried to bust me for skateboarding and I could tell he was having trouble controlling it right away so I slowly skated away from him watching him struggle with it immensely as he got more panicked telling me to stop as I got farther away. Idk why he didnt just get off it lol

I legitimately got a speeding ticket for 26mph in a 25mph zone. A trainee cop gave me the ticket while the training officer kept asking her if she was sure this wasn't just a warning. And to make it worse, it was downhill

usually cops dont pull you over unless your doing 10+ over outside city limits. went past quite a few cops doing 64 in a 55. you better be religious about the speed limit inside city limits though.

I once got ticketed for 40 mph in a 30 zone. It was on a street where the residents tended to be wealthy and very prone to complaining, and the cop really felt bad about having to ticket me. He said that on any other street he would have just given me a verbal warning, and he even apologized a bunch of times, but his hands were tied because of the busy-bodies that lived on that street.

I got caught doing 32mph in a 25mph zone (52kph in a 40 zone). Centre of Canberra ACT, speed limit drops from a 60km/h zone to a 40 zone (37 to 25mph) with a speed camera pointed directly AT the 40 zone sign to catch anyone still slowing down 🤣

I think I was caught by a traffic camera doing 34mph in a 30mph zone back in the early 2000s. It was in Poole (Dorset, UK) and there was a shopping area just after the traffic camera. I think it was a fine and 3 points.

I didn't get a ticket, but I was pulled over once by Military Police on a US Air Force Base. The speed limit was 15mph and I was going 20mph according to the cop. I know I was actually going 18mph because that is the absolute slowest my 1986 Corvette would go without stalling out. He let me off with a warning.

Back in the 90s and early 2000s the police out on the island near where I live would give people tickets for ONE over...the speed limit is 25mph. Outside of that there are tons of people that get tickets inside "school zones" which has a 15 mph limit, so those tickets have to start from 20mph.

There is a camera near where I live in Prague, that is enforcing a 30 km/h limit (18,6 mph), that is dubbed as "The best earning camera in the city." (Because of course, that is what the speed limits are for. Who cares about some safety, when there are money to be made, right.) So there is probably a lot of people who got caught for roughly 20 mph.

Then if may decides to call it quits replace him with the same. And then Hammond. Yall thru top gear and grand tour have made my childhood special and I want my future son to have something similar. I think in the UK you usually have 10% grace but that can depend on how you're driving (too close for instance). I don't think that is a written rule though.
