The TMNT games did such a good job of making Bebop and Rocksteady actually seem menacing and a threat I always felt that the duo should have been a big deal and even match for the 4 turtles in the 90s TV show, but they always got their asses kicked.

After having played a couple of games where he was a composer, you realize that they have the essence of him and hit the mark by assimilating a feeling of nostalgia in his works. Maybe some can say he is just a "copycat" who only recycles other people's work, but for me he is someone quite talented, because in the art in general is difficult to simulate feelings that make you remember the same things you feel to other artists.

well a lot of the animation the turtles use are from the original tv show. withbsome mannerisims from the movies so this game took the best of all the media they have

It is basically supposed to be a love letter to the previous TMNT games. While a lot of the references are from Turtles in Time, there are elements and references to other games as well.
