Since it’s a gas pressure washer you can replace the pump with all kinds of different ones so repairs are not an issue. Noise is Going to be the problem as no total stop and it’s three times as loud as an Active 2.3. Plus, you can’t use in the garage unless you like carbon monoxide. 😘

I have 2 of these, both 3200, no complaints, use 3.5 40 Degree nozzles, brings the power to a safe level for car washing. Use the MTM 3/8 hose and gun. The pump died after 3 years on my 1st one. The engines have been very reliable, almost a 1 pull start if you get the choke correct.

That thing is pretty sweet! I started out with a gas pressure washer man the output was crazy but I hated the loudness of it. Still when I did around the house work the thing was a beast!

4:50, the soap nozzle orifice is large which reduces pressure, that reduced pressure allows a value to open (decompress) in the soap dispenser. I assume if you run it without a nozzle that soap would come out too.

Hey nice video man. I want to get a pressure washer for both occasional outside use (like cleaning a deck, driveway, house siding 1-2x a year) but also one that is gentle enough for car detailing. Sounds like this model would work for that? 1 question: will changing the oriface size to drop the pressure damage the pressure washer? Ty

I think this is perfect for that. Lowering pressure using bigger nozzles puts less stress on the pressure washer. If you try to increase pressure beyond what they supply you then you can damage it.

You really need this for driveways once a year? I was able to use my Westinghouse ePX3500 with bundled surface cleaner to do mine, sure have to work sorta slow (have to over again if too fast), but that’s much better than spending another $300 for something I won’t do even a handful a year. But hey, if you got the money, sure. Plus you get to make a video and write it off 😉

All depends on how you value your time. If it’s a few hours faster overall and I can be productive with that time then it’s worth it. Of course anytime you get one of these a neighbor or family member will want to borrow so it gets used several times a year plus the wife will have ideas for you to use it as well. 🤣

If these gas washers were not so loud, I'd use them for detailing all the time. Can dial them down to a safe PSI and high GPM for much faster rinsing!

I would be doing the same. Only way to get that performance is run dual AR or Kranzle or you could also run a 220v connection and use the big boy pressure washers like Can Pump.

Thank you for the comprehensive review! This is an interesting pressure washer as 2700psi is below the max rating of the Uberflex hose making it a viable option for detailing with lighter hoses. You mention 1.75 orifice for the foam cannon to reduce pressure. I've googled searched and am unable to locate anything above 1.5mm. can you recommend a supplier that consumers can purchase orifices greater than 1.5mm for foam cannons? Thanks again for the useful review.

That’s the hard part 1.5mm is about the biggest you will find. Anything bigger would be custom by a manufacturer and usually shipped with a product. Nothing you will ever be able to purchase. 1.5mm will be no problem to use though.

@@CarsWithKeav ah. I wasn't losing my mind then... I suppose one could get creative with a drill press to slightly open up a 1.5mm to 1.7mm. By any chance have you tried an Uberflex or flexzilla Hose with this unit? I ask because my one concern is the spike pressure from the unloader valve may be close to the max psi of the Uberflex... Thanks again for entertaining my questions. It's not often I can have dialogue with someone who owns a product I'm interested in.

@@denniskoutsoures I’m not a big fan of using Uberflex on a pressure washer with this kind of output. I like to stick with 3/8 wire braided hoses on high end electric and all gas pressure washers.

@@denniskoutsoures I reviewed the EPX3100v in a comparison video on lower end electric pressure washer. It has basically the same stated numbers of 1.76gpm which I wasn’t able to get anywhere close to that number.

Looks like they don’t sell it anymore. I remember it not being cheap and cost me about $40. It’s not stamped with the orifice size, but I think it’s a 3.7 so maybe something like this would work. It’s close being a 4.0 and looks almost the same. amzn.to/4cuyB2r

In reality you don’t need 2300 you could get by with a 2000. It’s all a want vs a need, but a 2700 at that GPM is more efficient at cleaning so depends on how you value your time. You can get the results you want with 2300 for sure. Just might take more time. It’s also about flow as 2300 at 1.2gpm is way different than 2300 at 2.0gpm that twice the cleaning power.

Yeah so why shouldn’t I get a gas pressure washer for car washing?? I have 0 reason for electric, I use gas lawn care and do all the maintenance myself. I can save $1000 or more and get even more performance. Then I can also use it to clean my home.

Just get a large orifice tip and you’re fine. I’ve been using a gas pressure washer and 6.0 orifice for many many years. Gets me 1000psi and around 3gpm Just recently bought an electric to try, to decrease the noise and because lack of TSS in gas (always felt I either had to rush, or keep shutting the thing on/off, since ideally you’re not supposed to keep the gas PW’s running without water flowing) Once you’re used to gas gpm, going to electric is hard lol. Even the 2.0gpm electrics are no match lol, but they’re definitely nice when washing at 7 or 8am :) So ultimately, it depends on use and workflow. Both have their place. My gas unit definitely isn’t going anywhere.

Good point on the noise. I do wash weekly, often early, and I am pretty sure my neighbors may kill me if I have that running for 30min every week. Though it's hard to pass up on the power advantage..

@@WeBuild4Life Speaking from experience, if you’re washing early, the electrics are still ok performance-wise cause you can wash the soap off before the sun dries it. But, if coming from gas, I’d recommend avoiding the “big box store” electrics that only output 1.5gpm after nozzle optimization…especially if you work in sunlight because they’re just not enough flow when you’re used to gas. (Alternative workflow would be to rinse with regular hose instead of pressure washer)

@@Mike-tg8si Agreed, if coming from gas you need to run like an AR630, Active 2.3 or something along those lines. The big box store owns will feel like your using a garden hose. 🤣 if you got 220v hookup in the garage there are some electric that will do gas type performance. They would be $1500, but Northern tool has a tss 2.5gpm 3k PSI electric that I hear is real good. In Europe they don’t even use gas ones much as their 230v electric grid allows them to get crazy performance with electric pressure washers.

Just bought one of these @ Menards in Eau Claire, WI. Beyond disappointed. Zero pressure and pretty sure the pump is shot. Westinghouse "help" line slow to respond and Menards won't take it back since I used it. Menards told me to send it to their small engine repair contractor to see what's wrong. Great lawn ornament. POS.

Wow, that sucks hate you got what seems to be a defective one. No product will ever have a perfect track record always a small percentage that will have problems. You just got unlucky, but sim surprised because home Depot will take these types items back after being used. I mean how else are you supposed to know if it works or not.

The owner fired up the washer and said that the pump was trash and that while the motor on the 2700 is good the pump is sh-t. They will try and fix it and unless the repair cost is more than 75% of the $300 purchase price I will NOT get a new unit or my money back. Meanwhile I have yet to hear from Westinghouse "customer service" and would like to get my money back and buy another brand. I have projects to complete.
