My concept of steel being more elastic than rubber is that when we stretch steel it’s takes more time to come to it’s original size than the rubber but the size formed after stretching is more similar to the original size than what happens in rubber. Rubber changes it’s size and shape quickly. Correct me if I’m wrong

As sir said, ki ek certain elastic limit tak hi stretch krna hai, jise ham elastic limit kehte hai, wrna permanent deformation aajata hai, I think steel ki elastic limit kam hoti hogi rubber se agar tum ek steel wire lo aur use bahut thoda sa stretch kro, toh wo rubber se bhi jaldi wapas aayega , lekin bahut thoda sa hi krna hai, wrna wo aayega hi nahi because of permanent deformation

A more accurate analogy would be that steel is stronger than rubber. Steel would have more attractive intermolecular and internuclear forces than rubber (steel would have less voids or intermolecular space than rubber) so steel is more elastic. While rubber has the ability change it's shape easily. The resistance offered by steel to change it's size is very much more than that of rubber kyunki rubber to jhatt se khinch jaata hai
