Why the size of the atom is not greater then aluminium when aluminium give one electron and become Al+ 14:08 . Because In last lecture we have read that size of the atom decrease when the number of electrons in the outermost shell increases .

But bro in Al valence eletron is 3 and in Al+ valence electron is 2 (According to this valence electron is more so size will decrease) so Al valence electron is more than Al+ so Al size will less than Al+ but in this case( size of cation Al+ < parental body Al) I think size of atom decrease when valence electron increase it's only valid in neutral atom
