The Nuzhat al-Nazar is a detailed commentary by Imam Ibn Hajar (d. 852/1449) on his own ulum al-hadith text called the Nukhbat al-Fikar. Hailed as one of the best primers on ulum al-hadith ever written, this text is a must for any students seeking entry in to the technical discipline of hadith criticism. In this course, we will carry out a detailed study of the Nuzha, with the assistance of isnad maps and graphs.
