As a note, the air pressure numbers might be different, in AZ the warning buzzer is before 60 and the valves pop between 20 and 40, if I said it like in this video I would fail.

Just a note sir, one of the dings that I got on my pre trip was when I got out to grab the wheel chocks I didn’t turn the truck off and pull the key out of the ignition. Examiner said it’s never acceptable to be outside of the truck with it running. I had never heard that before until then 🤷‍♂️

Danny on the in cab why not start with the governor cut off since the air pressure is already a bit higher vs revving it to build pressure. Also would be good to also see a good example of the correct way to enter and exit the truck with the 3 points of contact

Great question 🙌🏼😁 on the Missouri test order doesn’t matter and this sequence creates a very simple 4 step pretest set up and then 4 stage abt. Other states order matters and as such I’ll have a new abt coming out this week to show those more strict requirements 😎🙏🏼 and good suggestion on the three points! Thanks for reaching out!

Permit is literally general knowledge combination and air brake test this video will not help you with that lmao you have to study the cdl manual from your state in michigan the general knowledge was 50 you could only miss 10 both combination and air brake test which is all on computer those 2 were 20 questions and u can only miss 4 on each one of those

How many questions on general knowledge permit test?

In Missouri I believe it’s 20 🤙🏼 each state has a different process, here in Missouri you can retake the test same day if you don’t pass and then again the next day multiple times too, check on your Permit testing state to confirm 🤓 applied to a school/program yet?!

Good job on the video. Just and observation that should be addressed: make sure your emergency airline, service airline and your electrical pigtail are not touching the catwalk and mention to the examiner that they are not touching the catwalk. They should not be laying on the catwalk like that.

I quit my last job 🤦🏻‍♀️ and I have an at fault accident from 3/2018. On top of that ...I'll be a new CDL graduate. So I did the test last week, I did my pre trip in cab brake check exactly the way you did and the instructor failed me... I was apparently supposed to ask him before applying pressure to the brake at all

In other videos I’ve seen they check the tires and brakes on the trailer. Is that something not accounted for anymore?

Great question, you are no longer required to check the rear axels on the exam. I assume their logic is if you know how to check the steers you’ll check the drive and trailer axels similarly out in the field 🤷🏻‍♂️🤓 on the test, only the steers 🤙🏼

The brakes should hold you and you should feel a slight tug against the brake. “Should” being the optimal word here 😆🤷🏻‍♂️🤞🏼
