Eric Schleich's Kenmore refrigerator stopped working after just four years. First, the ice maker stopped working. Then, the freezer died. A day later, the entire fridge stopped cooling. Schleich scrambled to save a unit full of food.

This is corporate fraud. Shame on LG. Don’t buy LG. This happened to me. I had a five month old LG and the compressor stopped working. The technician told me for every 20 LG compressors he replaces, he replaces at most one from all the other brands combined. It’s not just normal breakdown. Massive breakdown.

How do I get in on this, if I live in Canada. LG is giving me the same run-around. Their argument to me was “ well Canadian fridges are not the same”!?! Really, I did not realize LG has two production sites. They must think I am 10 years old to believe that crap!!

The core problem lies in the overall *design* of the refrigerators, not just in the manufacturing by specific companies like LG, Daewoo, Whirlpool, Galanz, Friedrich, Midea, Winix, Electrolux and Frigidaire, among others. The actual issue of the compressor fan freezing and subsequently obstructing the flow of cold air to the upper part of the refrigerator persists _regardless_ of the manufacturer. This indicates that the fault likely does not lie solely with *LG,* as consumer rights attorneys might continue to suggest, but rather with the overall fundamental design of the refrigeration units themselves, including all their component parts. I owned the same Kenmore French door style refrigerator which was manufactured by Whirlpool, but the same compressor issue exists in Kenmore French doors manufactured by LG and Daewoo.

My LG fridge never worked right. 4 or 5 times. My food spoiled 3 times. Maybe l should get on the band wagon.

this is typical of SouthKorean products. this is just normal for korean society. they all replace washing machines and reagurators every 3-5 years. most hyundai KIA car wont last 5 years.

Had to replace an LG fridge when everything was back ordered, so we picked up a 20 year old Frigidaire on Marketplace. $50. Drove it across town tied to the roof of a Camry 😅. Plugged it in and it ran like a champ.

my Kenmore fridge's fan stopped working... just 3 months after the warranty expired. My tech ordered the part... and guess what?? IT IS DEFECTIVE!! LG just say that they are working on it.... another lawsuit should start for defective parts

My Elite just croaked. It’s about four years old. I’m not even gonna fool with repair. I get a new GE tomorrow. So never again Samsung (truly horrible gas range), never LG, and never again Kenmore, and I’ve been a Kenmore customer for decades.

Mine just died this week. Still within the “warranty” period for the compressor, but news flash- I can’t find anyone in my area willing to work on a LG. I have called over a dozen places. Several even said in their recorded telephone greetings- we don’t work on LG refrigerators. And none of the names LG gave me panned out. Either out of business or refuse to work on LGs anymore. If you told me years ago that refrigerators would only last a couple years now, I would have thought that you were crazy.
