Wow! I wish the Pre-trip we do here in KY was as simple as this one! Here we do a much more in depth check on the Brakes, and there was no mention of checking the wiring under the hood.

the difference is because busses have to be really shiny, the hoods can blind the driver from the glare so they paint the hood matte black so it absorbs the light not reflect it.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but to be able to drive a school bus, you have to have a class "B" CDL license or better. A class "D" license is a standard driving license to drive a car. My bus does not use air power for the brakes. If I may suggest, open the Emergency Door to check under the heater for anything that could cause a fire.

True. I'm currently training at a school district for a Class B CDL and you will have to be more detail than what I'm watching.

There are a lot of stuff she's forgotten about rhe circle check, but I noticed everyone who commented knows this vehicle endorsement differs like B, C, D, but in Saskatchewan I know it as S endorsed for "School Bus" Class 4. I'd rather not go by this video but by the book for doing the proper circle check.

KHAMENEI Will DIE SOON no they dont do it everyday.you only do it if you drive a school bus and the title of the video clearly says CLASS D PRE-TRIP INSPECTION not school bus pre-trip inspection.most truck driving schools in ontario use school buses to train their students for their D licence but that doesnt mean when you drive a truck you still have to do all of these inspections.

This is nothing like how the exam is today. In Ontario Canada the inspector will ask you to demonstrate how you would look for a major or minor defect on 4 random components of the truck you are using. For example he or she may ask you to demonstrate how you would check for a leaking tire, you choose 1 tire on the vehicle and explain how you would check, he will then ask what is the major defect and what you would do if there was one. Then repeat those steps for 3 other components. If you get more then 1 wrong you will automatically fail your exam. CHAPTER 6 in the MTO trucker's handbook explains the entire exam and what is expected of you.

In the UK a "D" license is a Bus and coach driving license. D1 is Minibus. E is HGV and lorries.

IN D truck I just put 4 ways and parking lights on and check all the lights at once ( excluding brake lights and reverse )

Class D is a Automobile license not a bus license a Tractor Trailer is a Class A and Big Bus is a Class B and a Mini Bus is a Class C. And there is no need to go under the hood on a NYS CDL Road test.

they stopped using the axe at our company as its a major hazzard. the tires could me worn on the sides from curb rub and one hit could cause it to let go and take your arm with it:(

Hi Muhammad, The School Bus is the same size a wheel base as the straight truck, it just has a different body and can be used for the for the class D straight truck Road Test. This inspection is done for the straight truck but can be done with the school bus.

This school is terrible, money grab and don't care at all about a students future. Minimal driving time for something you pay so much money and time on. If you value your money going to education find a driving school that wants you to pass the first time. If they see you have money they will exploit you for it by not giving you proper instruction. - student of metro

Not all "D" vehicles have air brakes, so, no. That check is only for "Z"(air brake) vehicles.

she's a good instructor.. old school type, cat loving kind of lady as far as the school.... prepare to pay about 3 times the advertised price even this bare bones driving lessons wise the school and ministry is in bed with one another so be sure to get enough lessons and a possible redo of the test using their vehicle otherwise you will pay even more, if you do it individually
