Peckham is part of London. Not even a rough area so he's dissing those who act tough, saying they'd be scared to go to Peckham, let alone war zones like he's gone to.

Great reaction! You mentioned Akala's overall performance, and you are 100% right. That last spoken word section in particular, I have seen him perform live and it is electric - it makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. What I found really interesting is he actually leaves the stage and takes a short break before performing it (or at least he did when I saw it), just to get in the right state of mind. By the way, you mention not having degrees but reading and staying aware. Never be intimidated by formal education. Dont underestimate it either, because there are some really smart people in academia, but dont think think that a person who hasnt been through that exact process cant keep up with what they say. There are plenty of self taught people who are every bit as insightful and thoughtful as a lot of professors, so dont let that be a barrier. In my experience, the biggest aid to learning is to say 'I dont understand that, explain it to me'. The problem I found for a long time is, when you come from a working/lower class background, you are raised to be insecure about your intelligence and learning, and so you find admitting you don't know something harder - which paradoxically and ironically makes learning more difficult.

yessir. I've got those on the list. SERIOUSLY Dr. Akala is more accurate. It feels insulting to just call the man "Akala"

I will second any and all Lowkey, but especially Hand on Your Gun, that is really underrated and I haven't heard any other reactions to that.

Lines that I rhyme with a force so hard I'll seperate your mind from your thoughts; know that I am inclined to divorce your little big mouth from the height of your horse! See, its a sign of the times that we walk, those that talk sense get outlined in chalk, while that those that talk sht get a line of support right round the block, for the minds that they bought - for the dominate philosophy, the legal armed robbery, the global monopoly that's fkn up the only planet that we got.. if I had my way I'd tell the truth and I'd 'em rot.. but unfortunately, it is not. - Akala is untouchable

Akala talks a lot of nonsense, and a lot of nonsense is spread about him. For example... He's a genius, who "teaches" kids, yet he has no qualifications. The only degrees he has are honorary. When he says Oxford, he's talking about Oxford Union not Oxford University, although some people think they're the same thing, when they're completely different things. Oxford Union is where anybody famous can speak. The University of Oxford, just like all schools, colleges and universities of the world, you need actual qualifications to teach.
