Man, I'm so torn between Harvard and Yale. I just wanna pursue a major in science (computer, chem, or bio), yet I've heard both schools are good for those categories.

Well, in my country, universities are for mamma's and pappa's idiots nowdays. It was a different storry a few decades ago, when we were a real, independent country. It was Belgrade University alumnies who built whole Africa and a part of Asia. My older brother is in Emirates.They had no higways before he landed there. It was a great university, not just a club for rich people as it is now. So, don't worry. College is not for everyone. As an unsuccesfull ex-student of Belgrade University, who, comming there as a peasant, a silent, frightened shepard, was not able to deal with young people from higher social backgrounds, as well as with "aristocratic" professors, i never stopped to desire for some different ocassions after a failure. That's why i often watch videos lik this. But phrases as "smart enough" or "not smart enough" are nonsense. George Bush Jr. has graduated on Yale. Such a retarded person. So, Bertina Ingram, you are smart enough. Fuck spelling. It's easy to learn. George Bush was not speaking nor writeing English any better than you and me. Never say "hope i am smart enough". It ruins self confidence. And that is the main reason why smart people often fail. I'm telling you this from my own experience.

Its really nice college (university) but you need a stipendium for studing or you have to be a rich :)
@inayaharif79894 жыл бұрын
They actually look at your financial condition and the amount of money your family makes. You can apply for financial aid or a scholarship and they can compensate. My brother got a 200 percent scholarship along with everything being paid for by the university, so if you try really hard, then money is not a problem.

Yale has been pretty successful in handling student debt with nearly 100% of graduates having little to no debt
@posysdogovych20654 жыл бұрын
For the children of wealthy families, the debt doesn't matter. For the students who aren't rich, the debt is manageable because Yale offers generous financial assistance. After all, they don't have a $30 billion endowment for nothing.

I’m looking at applying right now and I can tell you that they are less than your average college. Yale is dedicated to providing low income students with access to internationally recognized education and opportunities for growth through incredible financial aid. If I’m not mistaken, some students attend for free. I’d say you’re looking at around $15,000-$20,000 per year or less (probably less, that looks high from what I remember). Based on other schools I’ve looked at, that’s very low. Hope that helps! Yale has a ton of information about this sort of thing on its website, it’s worth a read. Yale is more affordable than most colleges, yet it’s often considered to be only for the rich or the one-in-a-million sort of smart, but you don’t need to be a billionaire or an unparalleled genius to attend. You just need to have a good head on your shoulders and a strong heart in your chest. Hope you apply!

What's qualification to get accepted in Yale? Being offended by Halloween costumes? Scream and throw tantrum at your professor? Is there any safe spaces w/ coloring books and cookies?
@sonnyheatgames16536 жыл бұрын
That is a tiny minority of students who probably major in gender studies. The majority of students at Yale are extremely intelligent and have great sights for the future

I'm not envious or hateful of world class universities. I just see lots of my friends going to university at a very young age without really being conscious of what they really want to study. just pushed by parents and society. for example all of those who just going to be an economist or businessman/women fresh after the high school. anyway I'm in no position to tell people what to do.just wanted to share my experience so others don't make the same mistake. best of luck
@mikedonagger98227 жыл бұрын
so where are the safe spaces? What if someone says something offensive or wears a Indian headdress? What if I get triggered by a professor that says something that doesn't agree with my liberal views?

Although I do agree that some stuednts cause a mess for Yale, those students are in the minority. The majority of Yale students that have majors in STEM are extremely intelligent and they are the one's that hold up Yale's pretegious reputation
