Nice channel. I think multisection surface is much better for more than 2 sections.

Hi, nice video. Can you show how to modeling car hull?

NX probably?

I am teaching class A classes here. www.ase-institute.com/Design-enroll It is non-CAD specific and related to all things class A. From the beginning of how things get started to manufacturing requirements. I can't do an entire vehicle here on KZbin, I have some contracts that limit what I show.

Hi there, nice video. How can you be assured that the produced Hull form is identical to the original one? There sould be some calculations done on the new surface regarding the Volume, displacement, LCG, TCG, VCG, Cm, Cb, etc.,.How are you planning to carry out these calculations since that CATIA does not support this function?
@ClassASurfacing5 жыл бұрын
You would have to use various measure tools and create any additional volumes/surfaces etc... to measure against. Not straight forward but it can be done.

I agree but it is a tedious process and time consuming. This is the greatest disadvantage of Catia. Can't be used for new designs and also it's very risky when someone transfers data from scanned blueprints especially with large scale (I. e 1/100 or worse 1/200). Other than that I also love it and is more user friendly than Tribon.

Hi !! Could you tell me is there any resemble command to NX soft blend in CATIA ?
@ClassASurfacing7 жыл бұрын
Closest you will get is "Blend". Generative Shape Design and Freestyle workbenches have a version of it. The GSD is parametric, the FSS is NURBS. Kind of talk about it here. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eHSrhGueltiiptk And here. This one is real old and not so good but you can see the basics. kzbin.info?o=U&video_id=yO4fSI9DBhM Have fun!

Hello! So is that a real proyect?

Hi! First thanks for the video! Well I have a little concern about how you did that shape... Messing around with your tension can give you weird shape's and most off the time going as low as you did will prevent you from thickening the sheet body at the end... I know it's just a first draft but I would advice people that are starting to play around with it but be cautious. Again thx alot
@ClassASurfacing7 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the comment. And yes, what you say is true. I very seldom move the tension much. anywhere between .1-.3 at the most because of the very reason you speak. Here is where those 'hard' corners do not matter. This is a ship that is nearly 200ft long. Those odd shapes honestly do not matter much on this. If this were something much smaller than yes I agree 100%. All the best

Dear Sir , Please can you make comprehensive learning video , about how to manage the settings for a new project design in shipbuilding ? I means : PRM-Project resource management : defining a project file,activating a project interactively,managing project xml file,projectparameters xml file,creation/management of attributes,managing sections…..so on. Thank you
