Yes, that's how it was! The big self-inflicted basic problem, through the use of the designers from the car plants in the USA - who then modeled a scaled-down Chevrolet here in Europe one-to-one - it was not possible to develop their own necessary design language, such as at Mercedes, Audi or BMW etc . Unfortunately, Opel has shot itself offside with this approach. Can they turn the corner again? Who knows? The current, completely arbitrary design language does not create an emotional bond with the customer - a pity!

That why I call some of this generation Opels German Chevs! The British Vauxhall of that generation English Chev.
