You guys have come so frigging far. Found a niche and raised the bar for everyone. These are more than motorcycles, they're emotional connections to my younger days

This is a nice bike! I rode a friend's quite a bit back in the day and it had great smooth power and torque in the woods, trails and dirt roads. I also really liked the 6th gear on these and the Kaw KD125. The pure motocross bikes like the YZ, RM, CR, KX...were awesome, but for the environment that I usually rode in, bikes like this were a lot of fun. Eric in NC

In 20 years of trail riding, these 175 were my favorite. Even after owning KX250, KDX200, XL175, XL185. MX175 was the perfect combination of user friendly/comfort/power/reliability.

Sweet bike! I restored my ‘81 MX175 several years ago. Wished it would let me post a pic here. It’s my main bike to get around the property here for woods loop maintenance, visiting neighbors, etc. It is absolutely the best bike for new riders to learn on.

Man I've loved your channel for a few years now ever since I watched that 500cc shootout. And what I heard you say a few day's ago when you we're showing us all around your rig. You said and I don't remember it word for word so bear with me but in 98 you hit your knees asked God to help you and to please your kid's enjoy it as much as you do. You are very deserving of everything you have because your a very hard worker you care about everything you touch and most of all you Love the United States of America amen to all that you do sir and may God bless you with helping you spread the word of the sport no matter if it's racing hill climbing trail riding or hitting the open road you sir are a one of a kind and thank you for your videos I enjoy everyone you put out. Superb job there guys. I had the trail DT175MX here in UK back in 1980,I fitted a Stan Stephens barrel, piston and head,Boyesen two stage reeds, what was then a Fresco pipe, a YZ chain/sprocket conversion and re-jetted the standard Mikuni carb.IIRC,it took the horse power from a stock 16/17 bhp to around 25bhp,fitted Stilmotor front and rear MX fenders. It looked the biz and rode really well. A mate with a Honda CD175 had a go on it and wanted to know how the hell you were supposed to keep the front wheel down😁.Great channel guys keep up the good work, much appreciated from the UK.

wow thats cool. I had completely forgotten that the MX family kept on after the birth of the YZ's. I started racing NESC and at Canaan NH on its older little brother. A 75 MX100 twin shock. My Dad bought it as a leftover in spring 76 after going to Canaan to watch my childhood friend Grag Mayo race. We were hooked. Greg went on to be a NESC Pro rider and though my family moved to Md. , I understand Greg went on to win some championships in the late 70's or early 80's.

Normally, I'm not into the color white, but this is one gorgeous dirtbike. The gas tank on it looks stunning. I had no idea that Yamaha made these dirtbikes. I just knew about the DT's, since my Dad and Uncle bought 2 new Yamaha DT 125's in 1978, that they converted into dirtbikes, as well as being knowledgeable of the YZ's, my favorite dirtbikes, before I bought the GasGas from Y'all.

I had an 82 KE 175 street legal enduro. Bike would go about anywhere. Oil injection and reed valve. Twin shock and dual sport tires. Had over ten thousand miles when sold. Looked new I wish I could have kept it. It ran perfectly with air cooled two stroke with red steel tank and plastic bodywork.
