I read the book about the Rectory, when I was ten years old, so sixty years ago, I used to wait for my father to finish work in the local library, so I used to scare the shits out of myself reading about ghosts, and the book that was my favourite was Harry Price, Ghost Hunter, and Borley Rectory.

Lovely ride out Mr. Brown. I use these videos of yours to have a break from my blood pressure medication so thank you. The only downside is that you make me homesick every time. I have been deliberating for a long time which bike I am going to get when I return to the UK in the near future and I think I have finally made my mind up; its got to be the 500 Bullet, if I can find one; it ticks all the boxes. Great video and stories; thanks so much and greetings from a freezing South Africa.

Great video and great tour. Thank you 🙂 I love my Classic 500. I have one of the final battle green ones. I took the tank off to fit a Fuel X Lite kit and the sticker under the tank was dated November 2020. Funny, I was having lunch at a pub, here on the Isle of Wight and a guy about my age (50's) pulled up on one of those new Classic 350's with a couple of friends on Triumphs. I went over for a quick chat and said that I had a Classic 500. He didn't believe me and said that mine must be an old Bullet. That was until I showed it to him. He wasn't happy. Especially when I pointed out the differences and all the plastic on the new 350. One of his friends just laughed and said, you've been had, that 500 is way nicer looking 🙂

@@Volcanicbrown1878 UCE up to 2020, compared to the 2024, 350 J series Bullet?
@Volcanicbrown1878Ай бұрын
@@stephenc6503 I can't make your mind up for you, only you can decide! However, The j series bikes are not as powerful as the UCE 500's and they haven't got anywhere near the amount of torque as the 500's generate. The j engined bikes as 350's can't compete with the 500's. They are a lot more revvy at similar speeds, which doesn't make them a bad bike at all but, I think the 500's are a nicer bike to ride as they are not rev limited or speed limited and you don't need to rev the nads off them to get up to speed. At the moment, there are some real bargains out there on the secondhand market, low mileage UCE 500 examples are not that hard to find. So only you can decide what's best for you!

Borley is the kind of place retired Londoners go to spend more time with their money. So it's natural they wouldn't want townies going woo and blocking the lanes. From what I've heard there is a crypt under Borley church whose entrance is not at all obvious, which may account for the more unusual noises inside. Doubt it accounts for your old lady though. According to the World Meteorological Organisation, nearly 80% of the 383 Met Office temperature stations are classed as junk class 4 or super junk Class 5 due to their position.
@Volcanicbrown1878Ай бұрын
@borderlands6606 Most of the folk who live in Borley have been there for generations, very few outsiders. I doubt that the crypt, which contains the remains of the Waldergrove family, could explain the sound of a woman sobbing! The place has been investigated to death (excuse the pun!) by every kind of paranormal society going, as a quick google search will show. I am a skeptic, but I still cannot for the life of me, explain the old lady who approached the grilled gate from the inside, then vanished into thin air! The Met office can only make "educated" guesses on the weather, same as the rest of us can!
