If you think about it, the concept of the entire Pet Sounds album is that of a young man who’s just left home and is adapting to this new adult lifestyle.

Brian Wilson heard the US version of Rubber Soul. Very different track list. For one it had I've Just Seen A Face instead of Drive My Car. Capitol wanted it to sound like a folk rock album so the Motown influences were downplayed.
