This recording and engineering is amazing on this album. So good and so many memories with this album. My first live concert at 15, Fleetwood Mac Rumours. Day on the Green, Oakland 1977. Great show.

Thanks guys. Really enjoy you reacting to videos like this. Enjoyed Muscle Shoals, Wrecking Crew, etc. I heartily recommend THE LANGUAGE OF MUSIC. It is about Tom Dowd one the greatest engineers and producers of music. He is responsible for creating many of the essentials in recording. Tom showed British engineers multitracking. He and George Martin are considered the two best producers. Tom produced Layla and Other Love Songs among MANY others. At the end of the video he re-works Layla for us explaining everything. Just and example: When Sunshine of Your Love by Cream was going nowhere, he suggested to Ginger Baker to try the American Indian tom-tom sound and we all know how that worked out. You will see Tom in Muscle Shoals with Aretha and him visiting with his old friend, Ray Charles and also how he helped make Lynard Skynnard Band famous. He started in the recording business in the early 50's. He was a giant in the business. This is a music person's video of which you are two. peace, vince

I enjoyed this series so much. Thank you for such a great reaction and your insight to the story. Rough, stressful time politically and I work from home so have no real outlet to let go of stress and this was great to get into. Appreciate it!

I bought this on VHS when it first came out in 1997. I probably watched this documentary hundreds of times, finding the process of making the album fascinating. It's been a while since I'd seen it, so this was a real treat. Looking forward to more documentary reactions.

You HAVE to see that specific live performance of The Chain. The one with a thumbnail with Lindsey Buckingham in that straw hat. There are two Live performances on the channel Buckingham's Gems, so be sure to look for his straw hat. They are young and super energetic in this one, and havent performed it a kajillion times yet. And this documentary didnt show you everything yet. It will be fresh for you!
