Great video. You're right a day that you don't learn something is a day wasted. Okay so you didn't say exactly like that. You were talking about people showed you say give me a hard time because you missed a car by one year and you were learning. Heck I'm just glad that younger people are involved in the car hobby and willing to learn. You guys got so much less to work with and we did and the generations before me. Today's builders weren't even part cars back in the eighties and nineties. Yeah I know this is an older video.

The Cadillac on the right is actually a 1955 and the one on the left is a 1956. The 1956 sometimes had the Cadillac named angled on the driver side on the front of the grill. The Seville name didn't come out till 1975

As long as you have a love of old cars we all make mistakes. I see a lot more Northern junkyard now then the old Southwest where I live at I guess they've all been picked over. We really don't have the rust problem here in Oklahoma.

Blue one is a 56. It has an aluminum grill with tight grid pattern a rocket looking bump on the quarters, oval exhaust ports in the rear bumper and the running lights are on the lower portion of the front bumper. The dash actually says nineteen fifty six on it. The other is a 55. Nice finds.

In the 1966-67 Pontiac’s you were look the LeMans was a higher trims level of the Tempest. GTOs only had the different tail lamps.

One might be a Fleetwood or a Series 62. 55 and 56 were very similar. Didn't change much. Mostly trim.

You guys are going to be walking encyclopedias when you get to my sorry age of 73. I am too crippled or would be on stuff like that like stink on po** and so saying as just a thought, when you see one that shows potential... just saying... maybe pan both sides as that old first gen falcon ranchero is a gold find to ford people like myself. I see old rigs like that desoto for example and see all the stainless on them and wonder when detroit will go back to making stuff that lasts like that. Maybe not in ohio or michigan and close by states but you get it or you wouldn't show this stuff. I think that more kids should get involved. Most won't and are happy as sin driving a four door import with a raspy sounding four cylinder and think that they are in heaven. Heck the people driving them that are up in years were people who wouldn't want to be seen in anything with four doors, it had to be minimum a two door, preferably hardtop yet some sedans were way collectable. I used engines for cars in trucks and vice versa, changed out the automatics for standard, and did the interiors out of lots bigger cars that was nice, just needed cut down to fit. The exhaust was lucky to reach the back of the door area and were always loud as in thrush or other loud glasspacks. I do get motion sick really easy from the panning but when I feel it coming pause the film/video and watch something safe for a while and come back. I thought I was the only one but turns out that lots of people suffer with it.... I enjoyed.

Lemans, and tempest had different bodies and interior. Impala, and Bell air had same body.
